So many bad men in one room!

Turned on the news to see they are covering the funeral of Billy Graham - I noticed that Trumpy, Pence, McConnell, Sessions and Paul Ryan are all there together in one room. Amazing it didn't just burst into flames from all the evil. It was enough to make me shudder.

Trumpy names "secret weapon" Parscale (former digital director) as reelection campaign manager

I guess this move will buy his silence as to exactly what he & trump team did with the Russians during the last campaign. Although Pascale insists that "I am unaware of any Russian involvement in the digital and data operations of the 2016 Trump presidential campaign." (Read more)

Disgusting! Trump campaign uses image of Fla. shooting survivor in email asking for donations.

They are turning on Trumpy! About time! Mona Charen just wrote about being escorted out of CPAC

She writes in today's New York Times:

"So you’d think that the Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, would be a natural fit. It once was. But on Saturday, after speaking to this year’s gathering, I had to be escorted from the premises by several guards who seemed genuinely concerned for my safety.

What happened to me at CPAC is the perfect illustration of the collective experience of a whole swath of conservatives since Donald Trump became the Republican nominee. We built and organized this party — but now we’re made to feel like interlopers.

I’d been dreading it for days, but when it came, I almost welcomed it. There is nothing more freeing than telling the truth. And it must be done, again and again, by those of us who refuse to be absorbed into this brainless, sinister, clownish thing called Trumpism, by those of us who refuse to overlook the fools, frauds and fascists attempting to glide along in his slipstream into respectability."

These companies are not cutting ties with the NRA: Amazon, Apple, FedEx, Google, YouTube etc

"The NRA partners with dozens of businesses to spread its pro-gun message and provide discounts to its members, who number 5 million, according to the group. But this week, some companies have begun to jump ship. The following companies, however, have not indicated that they plan to sever ties with the gun-rights group" (read more)

President Obama says "we've been waiting for you"

His tweet to the students:

"Young people have helped lead all our great movements. How inspiring to see it again in so many smart, fearless students standing up for their right to be safe; marching and organizing to remake the world as it should be. We've been waiting for you. And we've got your backs."

Wow. Now, that's a real president.

Senator Brian Schatz from Hawaii tweeted:

"I am normally interested in compromise. Not this time. I cannot imagine a bill that would make a difference that the NRA supports. We don't need to cut a deal with them, we need to beat them!"

I agree with him. The NRA has drawn a line and there is no compromise anywhere, so evident at CPAC

"You are such a psychopath!"

"You are such a psychopath that you have to make even the death of 17 children about you. America will regret the day you were ever born."
Arizona representative Ruben Gallego says this to trump and more...

Watching local noon news here in South Florida

Very sad, all these funerals and memorials today across the county for the MSD students in Parkland. The campus is closed for classes today but there are so many people there along the fence with flowers...

The local news interviewed a rep from the Brady Campaign To Prevent Gun Violence (Robert Bowers Disney) who said "Every group of victims handle it differently and I am just so proud of what these kids are doing, I mean they are picking up and leading where our generation has failed, so for the first time in a very long time, I feel like we might actually get somewhere."

I hope with everything in my heart, that he is right - that this time we might actually get somewhere.

Please donate blood today.

It is always a good idea to donate blood, but after yesterday's tragedy here in Broward County, we really really need folks to give. It's easy, the red buses are just everywhere today - and while thoughts and prayers are "nice" we really need more, like blood. And better laws!
