For my 7777th post: I wanted to share a much needed song of inspiration and cheer, perhaps we can switch out the word dance for vote.....
When Great Trees Fall - poem by Maya Angelou
When Great Trees FallMaya Angelou
When great trees fall,
rocks on distant hills shudder,
lions hunker down
in tall grasses,
and even elephants
lumber after safety.
When great trees fall
in forests,
small things recoil into silence,
their senses
eroded beyond fear.
When great souls die,
the air around us becomes
light, rare, sterile.
We breathe, briefly.
Our eyes, briefly,
see with
a hurtful clarity.
Our memory, suddenly sharpened,
examines,
gnaws on kind words
unsaid,
promised walks
never taken.
Great souls die and
our reality, bound to
them, takes leave of us.
Our souls,
dependent upon their
nurture,
now shrink, wizened.
Our minds, formed
and informed by their
radiance,fall away.
We are not so much maddened
as reduced to the unutterable ignorance of
dark, cold
caves.
And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.

(Forbes) President Trump said Saturday that he plans to negotiate to run again in 2024 if he wins reelection in November, his latest in a series of comments that have alarmed critics who say he has little regard for constitutional boundaries.
During a rally in Minden, Nevada, Trump predicted he would win reelection and carry Nevada, a state he lost narrowly in 2016. After that, Trump said, well negotiate, asserting that hes probably entitled to another four after that based on the way we were treated.
The comments echo ones Trump made during a rally in Wisconsin in August, in which he stated he would win four more years and go for another four years because they spied on my campaign, likely referencing his unproven Obamagate theory.
Michael Cohen, Trumps former fixer-turned prolific critic, has argued that Trumps comments should not be disregarded as humor, instead asserting that Trump believes he should be the ruler or dictator of the U.S. and wants to change the Constitution. Cohen predicted that, were Trump to win reelection, he is going to automatically day number one start thinking how he can change the Constitution for a third term, and then a fourth term.

Bloomberg plans to spend at least $100 million in Florida to support Biden
(CNN) Billionaire and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is planning to spend at least $100 million in the crucial battleground of Florida in support of Democratic nominee Joe Biden, a source familiar with the plans confirmed to CNN.
Last week a NBC News/Marist College poll showed the race in a dead heat in the Sunshine State with Biden and President Donald Trump each garnering support of 48% of likely voters.
"Mike Bloomberg is committed to helping defeat Trump, and that is going to happen in the battleground states. Mike's substantial investment in Florida, in addition to his contributions to the DNC and to voter protection and restoration efforts this cycle, will mean Democrats and the Biden campaign can invest even more heavily in other key states like Pennsylvania, which will be critical to a Biden victory," top Bloomberg adviser Kevin Sheekey told CNN.
The Washington Post, which first reported Bloomberg's expected expenditure, said the one-time Democratic presidential candidate decided to put in that large of an amount in Florida after it was reported in the New York Times and later confirmed by Trump that he is prepared to spend millions in support of his reelection effort, according to advisers.

Many political observers consider the state a must win for Trump to have a chance at winning the election.

*Mike Bloomberg, where are you? Please help pay off some of these fines so they can vote.....
(CNN) Florida can bar ex-felons from voting if they owe court fines or fees associated with their convictions, even if they are unable to pay, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.
The 6-4 ruling by the full 11th US Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court's ruling blocking the law.
The law, Chief Judge William Pryor wrote in the majority opinion, doesn't constitute a poll tax. Instead, "it promotes full rehabilitation of returning citizens and ensures full satisfaction of the punishment imposed for the crimes by which felons forfeited the right to vote."

Paul Smith, vice president at the Campaign Legal Center, called Friday's decision "deeply disappointing."
"While the full rights restoration envisioned by Amendment 4 has become less likely to be realized this fall, we will continue this fight for all Florida voters, so the full benefits of Amendment 4 will someday be realized," Smith said in a statement, adding that "nobody should ever be denied their constitutional rights because they can't afford to pay fines and fees."

Trump Reportedly Says He Protected Saudi Crown Prince After Khashoggi Murder
(HuffPost) According to Bob Woodwards upcoming book, Trump was willing to overlook Jamal Khashoggis murder as long as Saudi Arabia kept the money flowing.
President Donald Trump protected Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman from Congress following the 2018 killing of Jamal Khashoggi, according to passages from journalist Bob Woodwards forthcoming book, Rage. According to Business Insider, which obtained an advance copy of Woodwards book, Trump spoke with the veteran reporter in late January about Khashoggi, who was a harsh critic of Saudi Arabias government. Khashoggi had also served as a columnist for The Washington Post until he was killed by Saudi agents in Istanbul in 2018.
Woodward, an associate editor of the Post who has worked at the paper since 1971, told Trump that the newspapers staff was highly distressed by Khashoggis death, which was allegedly ordered by Crown Prince Mohammed. [Khashoggis death] is one of the most gruesome things, Woodward reportedly stated. You yourself have said.
Yeah, but Iran is killing 36 people a day, so Trump began, until Woodward pressed him to comment on the crown princes alleged involvement.
I saved his ass, Trump said. I was able to get Congress to leave him alone. I was able to get them to stop.
