“We need the official canvass and for military ballots to be counted before any decision can be made," said Walker senior adviser Brian Reisinger in a statement. "Thousands of ballots were damaged and had to be recreated. Until there is a comparison of the original ballots to the recreated ballots, there is no way to judge their validity."

When I did eventually come to realize the fact, I had no way to accurately express what was happening to me. There followed immense shame, distrust and hurt throughout my childhood – even in the happy times. Thus ran the two parallel storylines that became my life.

Presumably, the calling of a special election would become discretionary. With no legal requirement to promptly call a special election a governor could promptly call special elections to fill vacancies in districts likely to be won by his or her own party, while ignoring vacancies in districts favoring the other party.”
