Whoever it is needs to stop flipping over rocks and letting creepy crawly things out from under them.

Fascists governments have no need for a federal or state legislative branch. If those career politicians don't want to end up flipping burgers they better get busy. Wonder how long it will take them to figure thatt out?

The ones who didn't are already pissed. The ones who did probably aren't too happy about the hiring freeze. Nothing like not being able to take vacation because your office is short staffed. His cabinet doesn't have a clue how to run an agency. The folks at the bottom are pissed. Sounds like the making of a giant cluster.

For better or worse, America has an incredible love affair with individualism. The image of the lone cowboy and the rebel without a cause resonates with many Americans. They are symbols of strength and courage. But as with all love affairs there are downsides. One obvious downside, and we are seeing it now, is a willingness to dismantle the social safety net. Wrapped in it is the belief that everyone should pull themselves up by their bootstraps. That those who don’t have, just haven’t worked hard enough. Sounds pugly and it is. But along with that comes a disdain of being told what to do or say or think. Trump can tell people not to believe their lying eyes. But eventually many who voted for him are going to get tired of having to defend the indefensible. More importantly his behavior will show him not to be a rebel full of strength and courage but something else entirely different. Then, as happens when we realize the object of our affection is not who we thought they were, the love affair will end. It may end slowly or in an instant as when love suddenly turns to hate, but it will end.

Trump – Hey Steve, what’s this I hear about a women’s march?
Bannon – It’s that damn liberal media, got em all stirred up. But don’t worry Donny, we got it handled. Ain’t gonna be no big deal.

Happy wife, happy life...The hand that rocks the cradle, rocks the world.
Pithy little sayings but in them is the recognition of the strength of women. Societies don't try to subjugate people they believe are weak, they subjugate those they know are strong. For far too long women have allowed themselves to be judged by rules we didn't write. We are told over and over that we need to look and act a certain way to be respected. But that respect only means we will be free from being demeaned it doesn't mean we will be treated as equals. It's time we quit playing by the rules they wrote for us and start playing by our own rules. Rules that say all women, in their beautiful diversity of body, thought, and action are inherently valuable. That the right to choose runs the gamut from reproductive health to make-up to motherhood. Womanhood, in and of itself, unites us. Do not allow false issues to separate us. That is their game and we don't have to play it.

and it was Christmas Eve and you couldn't sleep because you were so excited because the next day was Christmas and you couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought you? This is so not like that.

if he were given proof that Trump colluded with Russia to influence the election? I don't see him being too happy about that.

I met a friend tonight I hadn't seen for a while at a local restaurant. I know she voted for Trump because I tried to talk her out of it. One of the first things she said is he needs to stop tweeting, he needs to stop saying those hateful things. I told her I didn't think so because that's who people voted for and that's what they got and they should see exactly what it is they got. Then she told me she has heard things and wanted to know what was going on. I told her what I know, thank you DU, and she was very open to learning more. She is a very trusting soul and I don't think she was able to fathom the corruption behind the Trump campaign. I think that might be true for a lot of people.
