If anyone confronts me, I can kill them, claiming self-defense, and since they're dead, they can't testify against me. Doesn't matter whether they're armed or not, because nail clippers and key chains can be lethal weapons too, dontcha know. If anyone else tries to stop me, I can kill them too.
What's next? Shoot people carrying in the back because you claim to have seen "signs" they're about to be an active shooter?
We have to let go of the idea that investigations and disclosures...

It's time for the Biden Administration to cross the Rubicon and put Bannon behind bars.
When the full House votes to send the charge of Contempt of Congress to the DOJ, Biden should instruct Garland to fast-track the prosecution, with an emphasis on giving Bannon the same treatment that a common car thief would get: charge his ass criminally, arrest him, perp-walk him, and get a judge to set bail like he was a flight risk.
Biden wants to rally the troops? How about landing an actual punch, for once?
Feeling very nervous about Manchin, Sinema, and the debt ceiling these days.
I hope Biden has a design for that trillion-dollar coin in his pocket, just in case. Yeah, I know, it's not the way any reasonable government would act. We haven't had a reasonable government for a long time.
Is there any path to creating a Fox News optout for cable TV subscribers?
I don't have a lot of enthusiasm for kicking the plug out of the wall, but I'd opt to defund Fox in a heartbeat, even if I had to pay.
We are at war. Let's act like it.
Right now, the antivaxxers are suicidal human wave attackers in the Republicans' drive to sabotage the Biden presidency. We need to pull out all the stops to shut them down. I think the steps taken so far are good, but we need to go bigger. Biden should, through executive order, declare that all Federal buildings are off-limits to the unvaxxed. Yes, that would include post offices.
Biden should institute a vaccine passport program at least as sturdily managed as actual passports. The right will scream. Let 'em scream.
Nobody gets on a plane without a shot. If the unvaxxed need to fly out to the coast, Let 'em take a f****ing hang-glider.
The Justice Department should create a task force to determine which laws, civil or criminal, are applicable to people who have mass gatherings where countermeasures are not taken. Then use them. It would be good if, right out of the gate, a couple of high-profile violators got some actual hard time. That would get people's attention.
Same thing about media operations that spread anti-vax lies. There has got to be a way.
There should be a move to indemnify health care institutions that put in place triage programs that would help assure care to people with non-COVID needs.
There's got to be lots more. The key is to wake up and realize that business as usual is gone.
To people who want to re-analyze the events of 9/11:
It's too late. The official version is now irreversibly cast in stone. It matters very little what the underlying reality is.
It's important to remember that most people who get COVID-19 recover.
That means that there's a pretty good-sized pool of anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers who have either had it and recovered or know antis who did. They can go on to push the idea that the only people who died (or end up as long-haulers) are the weak and the unworthy. They deserved it anyway.
