Trump's education pick says reform can 'advance God's Kingdom'

The billionaire philanthropist whom Donald Trump has tapped to lead the Education Department once compared her work in education reform to a biblical battleground where she wants to "advance God's Kingdom."

Trump’s pick, Betsy DeVos, a national leader of the school choice movement, has pursued that work in large part by spending millions to promote the use of taxpayer dollars on private and religious schools.

Her comments came during a 2001 meeting of “The Gathering,” an annual conference of some of the country’s wealthiest Christians. DeVos and her husband, Dick, were interviewed a year after voters rejected a Michigan ballot initiative to change the state’s constitution to allow public money to be spent on private and religious schools, which the DeVoses had backed.

This is a state of emergency, this woman cannot be in charge of our education system.

A far-right Austrian leader who just signed a pact with Putin says he met with Trump's national security adviser in New York

President-elect Donald Trump's national security adviser, Michael Flynn, met with the leader of a far-right Austrian political party that has close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Austrian leader said.

The Freedom Party leader, Heinz-Christian Strache, wrote on his Facebook page Monday that he met with Flynn "and a few other high-ranking US politicians" a few weeks ago at Trump Tower.

He noted in the post that his party had recently signed a cooperation deal with Putin's United Russia party, which "outlined plans for regular meetings and collaboration where suitable on economic, business, and political projects," The New York Times reported on Tuesday.

China will 'take off the gloves' if Trump continues on Taiwan, state media warns

Source: Reuters

China will "take off the gloves" and take strong action if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump continues to provoke Beijing over Taiwan once he assumes office, two leading state-run newspapers said on Monday.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Friday, Trump said the "One China" policy was up for negotiation. China's foreign ministry, in response, said "One China" was the foundation of China-U.S. ties and was non-negotiable.

Reagan sworn in at the very MOMENT hostages are released, remember?

It is now believed that shenanigans occurred between Reagan people and the Iranians, and this made Reagan look good at the time and the logical conclusion is treason took place.

Fast forward to January 2017.

Lets watch closely how many cyber attacks occur in the next few days or weeks, like MSNBC and CSPAN being hacked, and other stuff.

Then once the new president is sworn in, look for a similar "win" for Trump, orchestrated by Putin and Trump and Tillerson.

These three men appear to want a business partnership that benefits only the 3 men and very few others. So watch for any number of orchestrated events to make Trump look good. Putin doesnt need that, his people already believe he is some sort of god. When in fact all he really is, is a murderous dictator.

See you in court, asshole. Says ACLU, well not the asshole part. LOL

You can read it at the link.

I would very much like to ask each and everyone of you to please join the ACLU today, they may be the only thing standing between the rights of millions and a total dictatorship.

God help us when these extreme ideologues start filling the vacancies on the bench.

Please stop saying Trump turnout is because of jobs or economy.

The rewriting of history is taking place already about this election.

Donald Trump was elected by bigots and racists who saw a chance to express their bigotry and racism and fears and as a way to say no to the Obama legacy or any woman who would dare want to be president especially a liberal woman who at one point in time refused to bake cookies for them.

Just sit back and watch the frontal assault of all minorities and especially women.

Jobs? Most white people who voted for the guy have jobs (thanks in large part to the great President Obama). And just enough money to be willing to think a tax cut is more important than saving the environment.

So no, it had nothing to do with jobs, being left behind or any of those clever right-wing phrases.
