Early Voting Ended Today - Ralston's Early-Voting Blog

Clark County firewall at 81K according to Ralston. 1,021,253 ballots, about 56 percent of the state’s active voters, have been cast - equivalent to 91 percent of the total Nevada turnout in the 2016 presidential race. Mail-in votes continue to roll in which will be counted as late as Nov. 10 if postmarked by Nov.3. Bottom line: Dems have to be happy, Republicans have to be worried.

"They all hate us anyhow..."

Given control of said body, anyone still think making new Senate cloture rules in January is a bad idea?

If you have the time...this is about us as much as it is Britain...and this election.

Michael Oswald's film The Spider's Web reveals how at the demise of empire, City of London financial interests created a web of secrecy jurisdictions that captured wealth from across the globe and hid it in a web of offshore islands. Today, up to half of global offshore wealth is hidden in British jurisdictions and Britain and its dependencies are the largest global players in the world of international finance.

Nevada Republicans Hoist by Their Own Petard? or Two Can Play That Way

Nevada Democratic Party seeking super-majority in state government this cycle. It's been a struggle but Nevada looks to overcome the Republican's de facto stranglehold on the state budget. Some years ago the Republicans used a super-majority to enact a 'no new taxes without two-thirds approval' amendment to the state constitution. Democratic officials have attempted several times over the years to void the measure in court but have failed. Now they seek to eliminate the requirement with the same tool used by the Republicans...a super-majority.

An October Vaccine...who could have ever predicted this?

I think it a most fitting last hurrah for the militant GOP from the most shameless snake-oil salesman ever to occupy the Oval Office. It fulfills every expectation of moral depravity I had for this administration from the very beginning.
