Trying to build an ADU in CA

After many months of searching i find that most of the costs are getting the ADU installed on your land.

So if a plan / design / model is quoted at $80000 you can expect to pay double to get it built and fully permitted.

This sort of price is for a mere few hundred sf. Not a lot of space at all.

Recently we looked at a two bedroom manufactured home for $100,000

Then they explain all the extra costs ending up at $180,000 to $200,000

The only way to do this with reason is to handle all the building and other work yourself (using subcontractors).

Of course expect to pay more property tax as well.

We do not want any RV or Tiny House type dwelling so no need to make that suggestion.

Missing DVD drive Windows 10 and no solution works so far

I've tried 5 or more suggestions with multiple reboots and still can't access the dvd drive (or any usb drives)

Windows 10 is fully updated.

I suspect it has to do with drive letter assignments

Hope someone knows how to resolve this
