Based on smell of marijuana in her car, police search woman's vagina.

At some point, police must recognize that wearing a badge does not require them to disregard any sense of compassion and human decency.

I love me some DU!

The discussion in this thread https://www.democraticunderground.com/10029404722#post87 reminds me of what I really like about DU.

Yea, sometimes y'all drive me up a fucking wall, but at the end of the day sanity and reason generally reign supreme. Though Trump is an open-faced racist, the folks at DU were unwilling to let the poster go unchallenged after Trump was accused of calling the White House a "dump" mainly because it had previously been occupied by a black family. I too questioned the admittedly very plausible hypothesis, but it was late and I was tired and I figured I'd circle back some time later. When I returned to the post I found no need to repeat my thoughts which had already been expressed.

I think DU's greatest asset includes the seasoned debates and challenges inspired by posts which in many other forums would result in mass assent and mutual pats on the back and accolades for supporting the cause. We ain't perfect, but because we try in good faith to bring critical thinking to every table, we come out smarter at the end of the debate, not simply more homogenous.

Keep on rocking Democratic Underground, keep on rocking!

Republicans to waive all environmental laws re Border Wall construction.

It's as thought their every goal is to say "Fuck the Environment!"

The Trump administration says it will bypass 37 environmental and other laws to expedite construction of a 15-mile-long section of President Donald Trump’s planned wall along the U.S.-Mexico border ― seemingly removing any doubt about whether the the wall will harm the environment.
