Night Watchman's JournalTrump says he's revoking press credentials for The Washington Post
Source: The Hill
Donald Trump on Monday said he is revoking the press credentials of The Washington Post, one of the nations largest newspapers, over its dishonest reporting.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee made the announcement in a brief post on Facebook Monday afternoon.
"Based on the incredibly inaccurate coverage and reporting of the record setting Trump campaign, we are hereby revoking the press credentials of the phony and dishonest Washington Post, Trump wrote.
In an earlier message, Trump slammed the Post for its coverage of his comments Monday morning about the mass shooting in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday. In those remarks, Trump questioned President Obama's committment to fighting Islamic terrorism.

Prayers aren’t enough. The US needs fewer guns: Boston Globe
The details are different, but the story is the same: A killer with access to military-style weaponry mows down innocent Americans in cold blood. On Sunday it was apparently a self-radicalized Muslim who murdered 49 patrons of a gay nightclub in Orlando. In 2012, it was a mentally ill man with the same type of gun who killed 26 at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. Next, who knows?
It makes no more sense to blame Islam for the Orlando shooting than it would to blame mental illness for the Sandy Hook massacre. The common thread and decisive factor in those and so many other mass shootings was the availability of powerful semiautomatic weapons that serve no purpose but to kill. Its not likely the nation will ever be free of malcontents, whether theyre homophobic religious zealots or unstable nuts. But it could be free from the guns that enable them to do so much harm, so easily.
The weapon used in Newtown and Orlando, the AR-15, must be banned for civilian use, along with other military-style guns. The assault rifle ban, passed under President Clinton but allowed to expire under George W. Bush, must be restored permanently. It would not stop all killings. But it would make it much harder for lone-wolf terrorists and troubled young men to equip themselves for mass carnage. The government should forbid the sale of guns to individuals on the terror watch list. There also should be no sales allowed of any weapon without background checks, even if the purchase happens at a gun show.

That's what I'm saying here, but nobody seems to agree with what I consider basic common sense!
Real Time with Bill Maher: Bye Bye Bernie
This time, I friggin well am using the YouTube title! There are two other videos in this forum right now that demonstrate that Sanders himself is in Fantasyland, and that some of his supporters are grasping at conspiracy theories. So Hillary won California by a wider margin than the polls predicted? Okay, then, what about Michigan? By their logic, Sanders must have won THAT state via theft!
As Maher says, Bernie ran a great campaign. But Hillary won. Period.
I can't wait for the 16th! Then again, maybe I'll have been banned by whiners before then. Fuck it! Report me and be damned! And if you think that's rude, Berniebots, you're absolutely right. And you've earned it!
"Here in the south, pro-gun hysteria is the norm. In Orlando, we see the results"
David Ferguson, writing in The Guardian :
~
Their utility in stopping a home invasion is questionable, but this is true of all guns. According to the FBI, for every case of justifiable homicide with a firearm in the US thats to say, a self-defense shooting there are 32 murders, suicides or accidental gun deaths. The overwhelming weight of evidence says that the high rate of gun ownership in this country makes us less safe, not more.
Here in the south, pro-gun hysteria is the norm. Men and women who have never gone hunting for anything more challenging than bargains at the mall believe that they are not truly safe until they have amassed their own home arsenals. My home state, Georgia, passed legislation last year making guns legal everywhere, including churches and schools, under one of the most radical pro-gun laws in the country.

There are many people who insist they need a gun particularly an assault weapon to feel safe. But unless you are a marine in Fallujah or a Chicago Swat cop, you dont need anything of the sort. You want it, and not in any kind of reasonable way. Its either because youre a sociopath or youre unreasonably afraid. Neither one of those states is a valid place from which to make the decision.

Ferguson, who is gay, also blasts "the lengths to which Fox News and other rightwing media have gone in the last year to demonize LGBT people and convince the world that we are child molesters who are lurking in every Target store restroom."

Goin' Fishin'
Be back on the 16th, when, hopefully, the Admin will be cracking down on BS delusions. (And, by
"BS," I am of course referring to "bullshit!"
Will You Vote for Hillary in November?
In the interest of honesty, I'm taking Option One, but I realize there are others on this board who feel differently.
Bill Maher on Sanders and Clinton
I did not use the YouTube title, as I thought it a little too glib after a hard-fought campaign. (I voted for Hillary, but this is not the time for grave-dancing, as we have an orange-haired Wannabe Hitler to save the country from.)
Waiting till the 16th
I got the notification from Skinner, and I'm "new" here, though I've been reading this site since mid-April. Therefore, I won't be posting anything about Hillary until then. Seeya!
