Oscar Thoughts.

La La Land and Damien Chazelle appear to have a lock on best picture and director along with Emma Stone for best actress in what I consider a weak field this year. So do Viola Davis and Mahershala Ali for supporting acting. That leaves a tight race for best actor between Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington. Affleck was the early favorite but Manchester By The Sea is such a downer. Support seems to be trending toward Washington in the more upbeat role in Fences. If it is Denzel he will join Jack Nicholson, Meryl Streep, Daniel Day Lewis (all best actor) and Walter Brennan (all supporting) in the 3 time winner club. Kate Hepburn is in her own club with 4 best actress Oscars.

Has anyone seen the movie Toni Erdmann?

It's Germany's Oscar nominee for best foreign film. It's a comedy but I'm interested because it's going to be remade with Jack Nicholson and Kristen Wiig.

Thank You For The Heart

Other than from family it's the only Valentine I ever received so thanks again.

Congratulations to La La Land

Tying the Oscar record of 14 nominations.

Remember Joe Wilson shouting at President Obama? Well that's exactly what the Dems need to do to Trump as often as they can. YOU LIE, YOU CHEAT! But best of all should be TRAITOR! whenever Trump opens his smelly tic tac hole. The question is will there be any Dems with the courage to treat Trump like the deplorable that he is and always will be. Time will tell.

So WWE Pro Wrestler John Cena Will Host SNL on Dec 10.

Do you think he will have the guts to risk insulting Trump and perhaps rock the brand new boat of his boss Linda McMahon?

WWE Pro Wrestling Exec Linda McMahon is Top Choice For Small Business Czar (Seriously)

The 2 time loser Senate candidate met with Trump today in NYC. Guess it helped that she gave $6 million to a pro-Trump super PAC run by Florida Gov. Rick Scott. During what she described as a really good conversation, the pair discussed business, entrepreneurs, creating jobs and the SBA, she told pool reporters in the tower lobby.

Two movies I just can't warm up too.

Swiss Army Man and The Lobster. Dano and Radcliffe were okay but, was it a semi remake of Waiting For Godot? A satire of the Gospel? The Lobster was half baked.

Predicting This Election Is Easy.

It will be Hillary. The reps can't win the White House without a Bush on the ticket. The last time they did was way back in 1972. Don't even mention Reagan because you know who his running mate was. Not that Bush always wins. Clinton took Bush down in 92 and I suspect Clinton will again take Bush down again in 2020. No Bush, no White House, not for the reps.

The lying SOB

still insist he was against invading Iraq.
