Trump is bad enough. Let's not harm our credibility.

One of the many fights we've been fighting this year is the MSM's practise of whipping up controversy beyond what the facts warrant. They did it to Hillary over and over and to Bernie way back when. So I wish they (and we) wouldn't descend to "majority muslim countries." There's no doubt that there's enormous Islamaphobia being proclaimed by the right, but it's not the case that these countries were identified because they were majority Islam. Obama identified them as being havens for terrorism. Indonesians and Indians and Saudis are not on the list.

The other instance of this proclivity to whip up controversy is comparing the firing of Richardson by Nixon. That's nonsense. Of course an attorney general who instructed the department not to defend the administration would be fired. I'm NOT saying she wasn't right to do what she did. But the actions aren't equivalent.

Bottom line. We have more than one fight to wage, and one of them is for straight, fact based reporting.

Here's a strategy! Focus news on Bannon. Trump...

... will get so jealous he'll kick him out. It doesn't get rid of Trump, but I'd sure like to see Bannon go.

Which is better, adopt a house district of my choice or give to the DCCC?

The DCCC has created a list of targeted house seats for 2018, which is a good thing (see list below), but there were lots of complaints about how the DCCC did its job during the primaries. Would it be better to donate directly to a few chosen districts?

SO IMPORTANT! How Google affected Dylan Roof, and what we can do about it.

This is a really important short video from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

In the interests of combating fake news....

It's clear that no one rose to applaud DT at the CIA. But not clear why they were all standing throughout his speech. Does anyone know? Sure I want to combat fake news... But I'm actually just curious.

From Huffington Post

He never told them to sit.

The 400 agency staffers were standing when Trump entered the room, were still standing when he came to the lectern, and then remained standing through his 15 minutes of remarks.

From Twitter

At 7:35 A.M. on Sunday, Trump responded on Twitter to the negative reactions to his comments. “Had a great meeting at CIA Headquarters yesterday, packed house, paid great respect to Wall, long standing ovations, amazing people. WIN!”

There were no chairs in the room... All applause was standing. It just goes on and on.

I gave up on trying to find where I originally found this...

Do you think Trump will try to close down DC's transit Twitter account like the Dept of Interior????
