Iran Arrests Fashion Models In Social Media Crackdown

Source: Huffington Post

DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran has launched a new crackdown on social media, arresting fashion models active on photo-sharing websites and a blog website manager after Tehran’s top leader declared war on un-Islamic thoughts on the Internet.

Eight members of a modeling network were arrested and accused of publishing photos of women without the obligatory hijab headscarf on the picture-sharing application Instagram, Tasnim news agency said on Sunday.

State television also broadcast live “confessions” of a model who explained she posted photos of herself on Instagram wearing certain clothes or beauty products to earn money through advertisements.

if they can vote for trump - what does it say about them?

trump is willing to say anything and do anything to win. He identifies scapegoats and makes it all everyone else's fault.

Hillary talks about hard work and personal responsibility.

Anyone who votes for trump over Hillary is looking for a free handout - and will be disappointed in trump as he's going to give more money to the rich - himself included.

Hillary made her money the old fashioned way - through hard work. Even her speeches were paid for when she was in business for herself. Why do we have the right to see what her what she gave her clients.

Meanwhile, trump complains about china but does most of his manufacturing there. And people think he's going to look out for our manufacturing base? it's nonsensical and insulting to anyone with intelligence. Even Letterman pulled out a trump tie made in china when trump was ranting about our manufacturing going overseas.

Netanyahu lashes out at Iran for 'mocking' Holocaust in cartoon contest

Source: The Guardian

Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu lashed out at Iran Sunday for staging a Holocaust-themed cartoon contest that mocked the Nazi genocide of six million Jews during the second world war. The Islamic Republic was busy planning for another one, he said.

A State Department spokesman, traveling with Secretary of State John Kerry in Saudi Arabia, expressed US concern about the contest, saying it should be “condemned by the authorities and civil society leaders rather than encouraged”.

Iran has long backed armed groups committed to Israel’s destruction and its leaders have called for it to be wiped off the map. Israel fears that Iran’s nuclear program is designed to threaten its very existence.

Hillary did nothing wrong with the emails - it is a republican smear campaign

like they did with John Kerry when they swiftboarded him. Facts be damned.
like they did with Obama when they said he was not born here, but in Kenya. Facts be damned.
like they did with Jimmy Carter, when they purportedly made a deal with Iran to free hostages as soon as Reagan took office.

here is ABCs report - people should stop quoting right-wing sites gleefully. Your heads will spin with the crap these sites make up about Bernie if he became the nominee.

ABC News detailed a final State Department investigation which concluded that past secretaries of state, including Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice's immediate staff, "handled classified material on unclassified email systems." The findings come as the FBI investigates a private email server used by Hillary Clinton during her time as secretary of state.

For months, conservative media figures have attacked Clinton, baselessly accusing her of wrongdoing for receiving State Department emails on her private email account while secretary of state. On February 4, reports emerged that Colin Powell and aides to Condoleezza Rice also used private email accounts when they served under former President George W. Bush, and some of their emails similarly contained information that was retroactively classified.

The March 4 ABC News article reported that "a final memorandum" issued by "[t]he State Department's internal investigation arm" found that former secretaries of state "handled classified material on unclassified email systems." The State Department found that emails handled on private email accounts associated with Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice contain "information classified at the Secret or Confidential levels.'" Former Secretary Powell responded that those identified emails were not marked "'Confidential at the time and they were sent as unclassified,'" seemingly underscoring Secretary Clinton's defense that "the State Department is classifying documents too aggressively" (emphasis added):

G for 'Gun', T for 'Tank': ISIS app to teach children jihadi themes

Source: The Time of India

WASHINGTON: ISIS has reportedly launched its first mobile app for children to teach them the Arabic alphabet and the vocabulary taught by it includes jihadist themes along with words like 'tank', 'gun' and 'rocket'.

The Islamic State's 'Library of Zeal' has released an application for teaching the Arabic alphabet to children on Android devices, the Long War Journal reported. The vocabulary taught within the application includes jihadist themes. The application was released through Islamic State Telegram channels and on other file sharing websites.

The application has games for memorising and how to write the Arabic letters in addition to including a 'nasheed' -- a cappella Islamic songs - designed to help teach the alphabet.

The lyrics in the nasheed are littered with jihadist terminology, while other games within the app also include militaristic vocabulary with more common, basic words, the report said. Words like 'tank', 'gun' and ' rocket ' are among the first few taught within the application.
