This song always hit me. First, Jones' vocal performance is stellar. The emotional swings in his voice are incredible. Second, the arrangement is spot on. Third, Jerry Chestnut's lyrics hit on every level with lines like "at least you thought you wanted it, which is so much more than I can say for me"
