No, The KKK Is Not And Has Never Been Liberal: A Historysplainer

http://wonkette.com/599254/no-the-kkk-is-not-and-has-never-been-liberal-a-historysplainer

By C.A. Pinkham

Of course the Ku Klux Klan was never on the side of liberals and progress. This goes without saying. There can’t possibly be anyone who disputes this basic notion, could there?

Of course there could. Of fucking course there could. Why do we even bother to assume a basic faith in the decency and intelligence of humanity?

Oh God, What The Fuck Happened Now?

The internet was abuzz all Wednesday with reports of an Epic™ confrontation between two CNN pundits on Super Tuesday: Van Jones (a Democrat) and Jeffrey Lord (a Bag of Assholes). After Lord insisted Donald Trump had disavowed the KKK “many, many, many, many times” and that Democrats were just trying to score political points by making a big deal out of Trump saying, “new phone, who dis?” when confronted by Jake Tapper, Lord and Jones got into it.

In particular, let’s focus our attention on one exchange at 2:15:

JONES: I know this man, when he gets passionate about terrorism, I know how he talks about terrorism, the Klan is a terrorist organization.

LORD: It’s a leftist terrorist organization.

NO. Nope. NEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWP. That statement is the wrongest wrong that has ever been wronged. That statement could not possibly be more Wrong with a capital “W” if it simultaneously blamed vaccines for autism, claimed the Holocaust didn’t happen, and sodomized a turkey. One day, they will build monuments to the wrongness of Jeffrey Lord’s five fantastically dumbshit words, except they won’t, because they will be too busy wondering who exactly the fuck is Jeffrey Lord?

Well, he is the guy who then said this:

JONES: You can put whatever label you want, that’s your game to play.

LORD: No, it’s important to history.

Oh, you didn’t. You fucking DID NOT.

‘Warren is a Wuss’: Bernie Sanders Fans Turn on Elizabeth Warren For Not Endorsing

http://www.mediaite.com/online/warren-is-a-wuss-bernie-sanders-fans-turn-on-elizabeth-warren-for-not-endorsing/

by Tommy Christopher

With the Republican presidential primary devolving into a Jerry Springer episode shot on location at the Thunderdome, it’s easy to forget the sundry internal dramas playing out among Democrats. While there’s an obvious split between the Obama coalition that largely supports Hillary Clinton and the progressiver-than-thou wing that supports Bernie Sanders, there now appears to be a schism-within-a-schism developing between Sanders supporters and progressive saint Senator Elizabeth Warren.

At issue is Warren’s failure to endorse Bernie Sanders ahead of Super Tuesday, which supporters feel could have delivered Sanders a victory in the closely-fought Massachusetts primary. RawStory’s TBogg collected some Bernie fans’ reactions from Warren’s Facebook page:

Your unwillingness to endorse Bernie prior to Super Tuesday indicates to me that your fear of pressure from Hillary friends on Capitol Hill “trumps” your commitment to the progressive cause. I have lost faith in you and the DNC.

Elizabeth – is there ANY reason on God’s green earth that you’re sitting quiet in the corner while Bernie is awaiting your endorsement? Am I missing something here???

Is she really part of the establishment? How can she, as a representative of the people, as a self proclaimed progressive, not publicly endorse Bernie Sanders? Do you think she owes Clinton some political favors? hmmmm.

With every day that passes without your endorsement of Sanders, Wall Street rejoices, and the corporate owned Hillary Clinton is validated. Shame on you.

Sen Warren let all of the progressives down and the country by not endorsing us before Super Tuesday. With her help, we could have and should have won Mass. Why and what does she have up her sleeve???

Karl Rove’s money? Are you smoking crack? I love Elizabeth and would have supported her over Bernie had she chose to run, but I am deeply disappointed in her for not supporting Bernie when it mattered. She will lose ALL credibility if she supports Hillary at any point as Shillary is tied to Wall Street.

Hillary News & Views 3.3: Clinton and Her Surrogates Speak Out, More Super Tuesday Analysis

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/3/3/1495017/-Hillary-News-Views-3-3-Clinton-and-Her-Surrogates-Speak-Out-More-Super-Tuesday-Analysis

By Lysis

Today’s Hillary News & Views features more post-Super Tuesday news and analysis, along with Clinton and her surrogates weighing in on major issues.

Let's start with Secretary Clinton herself, writing for Univision:

America’s immigration system is broken – but not beyond repair. I believe our immigration enforcement efforts can and should be humane and effective. Large-scale raids sow fear and division in communities around the country, and they are contrary to who we are as Americans.

People who fled violence and threats of death in their homelands should not be afraid to go to work, or to send their children to school, or to go to the grocery store in America. People fleeing persecution should always have the right to a full and fair hearing in this country.

We need a comprehensive approach to addressing the large numbers of Central American migrants who have come to the United States in recent years, especially the many unaccompanied children and teenagers, and to fix our immigration system.

First, we have to reform our asylum and refugee processes to ensure that everyone fleeing persecution has a fair and full opportunity to tell their story. In particular, every unaccompanied child who appears in immigration court should be granted access to government-funded counsel.

Seventy-three percent of unaccompanied children who have lawyers at their hearings are granted permission to stay in America, while just 15 percent of those who appear alone do. No child or teenager should have to face a judge and defend himself or herself without an attorney.

Just Effing Stop

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/3/2/1494897/-Just-Effing-Stop

By AuntieB

This is you.

I’m pretty F***king tired of this.

I’m all about Bernie. I’m even reading the Bernie or Bust stuff and it makes sense.

But I’m also reading the Hillary blogs, because I care about what other people think about things too.

And in each one of those pro-Hillary blogs, I see in the comments a variation of the following:

“But WHY do you like Hillary??”

“Because X, and Y”

“But that isn’t good enough! Did you see this?? And THIS??? and explain to me how you can possibly tolerate THIIIISSSS and THISS AND THISS AND OMG THISSSSSSSS!!!”

Do you have any idea how off-putting this is? It makes me want to vote for Hillary just to shut you the eff up.

You are proselyting. You are just as annoying as those door to door people who want to convert me to their supreme being and when I say I don’t believe, they tell me that I HAVE TO OR I WILL GO TO THEIR SUPREME BEINGS HELLLLLLL!!!one!!!!

People who vote for Hillary are not evil incarnate. You don’t need to save them. Back off of all that.

It isn’t your place to educate anyone who didn’t ask for it.

It isn’t everyone. It is mostly just two people tonight, but no one is calling them out, that I have seen. I’m not sure if you are even allowed to call people out here. Hell, I might get kicked off for this, I don’t know. But really, if you are doing this, just stop. Walk away from the computer. You are pissing me right off.

Another black woman supporting Hillary Clinton

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/3/2/1494943/-Another-black-woman-supporting-Hillary-Clinton

By ShockedAndAwed

How about this? It’s the relationships. Black people understand the importance of this election. Right now, we’re voting based on what we know and who we know. And we know Hillary Clinton. Do you think we don’t care about wars and foreign policy? People don’t see pictures of every soldier, marine, airman, or sailor that dies in these wars. Yet, we know that our sons and daughters, husbands and wives, mothers and fathers, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren are among the many lost to war. We are the ones sending them off to fight these battles. And we are the ones receiving their bodies if they don’t make it home alive. You think we do not care about economic inequality? Black and brown people are the most economically disadvantaged people anywhere. You think we don’t care about free college? What does that matter when we are graduating children from high school that can not read? Or filling our communities with children that give up and drop out long before graduation? Or filling your jails because of the lack of education and opportunity? Please don’t talk to me about how we got here. We know all too well how we got here and it was not Hillary all by herself. Yes, there has been bad policy. Yes, she has voted/supported the wrong way on some issues. Yes, she has told us things and then changed her mind. So have many others that we have supported.

Some people are all about forgiveness until it comes to Hillary Clinton. There is no sin so slight that it can be overlooked. For her there is no redemption. Well, some people in general and this black woman in particular don’t think she is the Devil. We can see the flaws in people, forgive them their mistakes, hope that they learn from them and move on. I’m not looking for a savior, I already have one of those. I’m looking for someone who will hear me, will take my concerns into consideration, and make a decision based on the many voices being heard. She’s already been pushed more to the left in this primary season. And that’s great. “Oh she’s just saying what people want to hear.” Really? What politician do you know who is saying things people don’t want to hear?

After this election, we need to have a seat at the table. We’ve been at the table with the Clintons for many many years. Suddenly, we need to beg some unknown to invite us to sit at his table. And according to a recent photo, that too late invitation has not been reciprocated.

I asked a millennial, a black male, who he was voting for. He said Bernie Sanders. I asked him why and he told me. I then asked, what if he doesn’t win the nomination. He replied, “I’ll vote for Hillary Clinton; I’m not stupid.” Right now Hillary Clinton is the favorite. I equate it to the horse races. Hillary already has the Kentucky Derby. She’s a proven winner. We are now at the Preakness. If she wins, we’ll work for a Triple Crown. And if she doesn’t, we will switch to the one that stayed on her tail and work to win Belmont. We know that whatever bad things you think will happen to you with a Trump presidency, multiply that a thousand times and you get the lives of black and brown people.

I'm an Educated, Black Female. I'm voting for Hillary.

http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2016/3/2/1494847/-I-m-an-Educated-Black-Female-I-m-voting-for-Hillary

By Sassine

I’m an African American. Female. Highly educated. Experienced. I’m voting for Hillary Rodham Clinton to be the next president in the Missouri Democratic primary. I choose Hillary over Bernie. I will encourage every Black, white, Asian, Hispanic, Muslim, Christian, agnostic, disabled . . . well everyone I know . . . to vote for Hillary Clinton.

I initially donated to both because I wanted a vigorous campaign. Now, I donate solely to Hillary after doing my own research on Bernie Sanders and reading the work about him here and elsewhere. For every step she gets closer to the nomination, I donate more.

I believe Hillary is more qualified. I believe she’s more ready to fight the fight that needs to be fought for the soul of the United States. I could type all the reasons why but it appears that here on DailyKos people don’t really care about why. Too many Sanders’ supporters (or what appears to be Sanders’ supporters) want to deride and disrespect Black voters. We see how that worked in South Carolina. Then, in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. The New York Times has devastating demographics numbers in Virginia for Bernie Sanders regarding the Black issue. http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/03/01/us/elections/virginia-democrat-poll.html?_r=0

In that poll, 82% of Black men and 85% of Black women are for Hillary. Seventy-seven percent (77%) of non-white College graduates are for Hillary. Overall, 58% of all men were for Hillary and 70% of all women . . . for Hillary.

It is my hope that Bernie starts recognizing what he is doing wrong in communities of color and begins definitive outreach. I have no idea what he has done with the BLM woman he hired in the Fall or his head diversity guy.

Let me end by saying. I’m a Black female with three (3) degrees, all with honors. I’m a Democrat. I research extensively about candidates and have done so for the Democratic presidential selection. I choose Hillary.
