Trump's 2020 presidential slogan is tagline of mass homicidal horror film "The Purge"

Donald Trump's 2020 presidential slogan is the tagline of mass homicidal horror film The Purge: Election Year

President-elect Donald Trump, while being a day away from his inauguration, has already announced the slogan he'll use for the 2020 presidential campaign - and it has one very sinister comparison.

The Republican will run for reelection in three years time and believes he has the perfect hook to re-ignite the passion of his voters: "Keep America Great" - the tagline of 2016 horror film The Purge: Election Year.

When asked what the slogan would be, he told The Washington Post: "Are you ready?" 'Keep America Great,' exclamation point.

"Get me my lawyer," he adds in the recording before telling someone in the room to trademark the line.

Holy crap. Not a joke.

CIA pick Mike Pompeo is a religious freak who might bring on the Rapture

In June 2015, Rep. Mike Pompeo, a Kansas congressman, headlined a “God and Country Rally” at Wichita’s Summit Church. “To worship our lord and celebrate our nation at the same place is not only our right, it is our duty,” he began. Pompeo’s speech was a mishmash of domestic culture war callouts and dark warnings about the danger of radical Islam. He cited an inflammatory prayer that a pastor named the Rev. Joe Wright once delivered before the Kansas State Legislature: “America had worshipped other Gods and called it multiculturalism. We’d endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle.” He lamented government efforts to “rip faith from our schools” and then segued immediately into a discussion of the jihadi threat: “This evil is all around us.” Pompeo concluded by describing politics as “a never-ending struggle … until the rapture.”

Donald Trump has appointed Pompeo to head the CIA; his confirmation hearings begin on Thursday. If a normal Republican president had nominated a figure like this to head the country’s major foreign intelligence agency, there likely would have been a lot of attention paid to his apocalyptic religiosity and Manichaean worldview. Amid the fire hose of lunacy that is the Trump transition, however, Pompeo’s extremism has been overlooked. It’s worth pausing to appreciate the fact that America’s CIA will shortly be run by a man who appears to view American foreign policy as a vehicle for holy war.

I think I have a good understanding of why Hillary lost, but what I still don't get

is how Dems got smoked in so many Senate races and other down ticket races, especially when all Republicans are just so awful in general.

That can't all be due to gerrymandering, or Russian influence.

Was it just an off year with bad candidates?

Did Trump actually excite GOP voters far more than we really understand?

Did Hillary at the top motivate many GOP voters to vote for a GOP congress to block her?

I think part of the reason the Dems have been doing badly is the incredible power of conservative media and brainwashing, that most of us can never understand because we don't expose ourselves to it or are not wired that way.

My biggest disappointment is just seeing people vote for Republicans and forgetting history of how bad these people really are when they have power. It wasn't even that far back when we had the terrible GW Bush. Or just look at Kansas.

I keep feeling like this party-- the GOP-- shouldn't be sustainable, they are so awful, and they keep failing when in power.

Yet they still win.

Obama only won when they were fully exposed as crooks and had crashed the economy massively. Yet they have bounced back and are winning again with horrible, racist, dumb, obnoxious candidates.

How can we overcome this insane power they have?

Jeff sessions praised a racist law just one year ago

Senator Jeff Sessions, Donald Trump’s nominee to run the Justice Department, once praised a 1924 immigration law whose chief author in the House once declared was intended to end “indiscriminate acceptance of all races.”

Sessions has long been a proponent of immigration restriction, and was one of the first to back Trump’s call on a ban on Muslims entering the United States during the primary.

During an October 2015 radio interview with Stephen Bannon of Breitbart, now a top adviser to the president-elect, Sessions praised the 1924 law saying that:

In seven years we'll have the highest percentage of Americans, non-native born, since the founding of the Republic. Some people think we've always had these numbers, and it's not so, it's very unusual, it's a radical change. When the numbers reached about this high in 1924, the president and congress changed the policy, and it slowed down immigration significantly, we then assimilated through the 1965 and created really the solid middle class of America, with assimilated immigrants, and it was good for America. We passed a law that went far beyond what anybody realized in 1965, and we're on a path to surge far past what the situation was in 1924.

This is unacceptable. Please call your senators and ask him to vote no on Sessions.

Remember the Trump-Pence T-P logo?

That was more apt than any of us knew!

We know Trump was already a buffoon, but how can ANYONE take him seriously as POTUS now? There's got to be a lot of snickering going on in DC.

1950's TV show predicted Trump as a conman who wanted to build a wall

An episode of the 1950s western TV series 'Trackdown' featured a snake oil salesman named 'Trump' who promised to build a wall in order to prevent the end of the world.

And he threatened to sue if he was arrested, and he's bald!

Wild weird shit.

IMPORTANT- Were Trump's casinos an elaborate Russian money laundering scheme?

How on earth was Trump losing money on his casinos while competitors were making bank?

You can say "haha what a dummy-losing money on casinos" but as I noted, Trump's losses appear deliberate, planned

But what if there's more to Trump's casino losses, which ran billions of dollars. Was it to disguise Russian money laundering?

Article below from 1995 notes how Russian mafia was laundering money in and out of the US using dummy corps

A coincidence that Trump's projects–after banks ditched him–were financed by Russian mafia linked Bayrock?

Soviet characters–Sater, Arif, Sapir, Mashkevich-suddenly pouring hundreds of millions into a bankrupt Trump?

Were these Russian links established during Trump's casino run-he helps them with laundering-they bail him out?

Recall the lawsuit against Bayrock naming Trump and kids alleges $250 million were laundered, untaxed, to Russia

We know Trump was getting tax benefits for losing people's investments, but now we have this laundering angle

Here is the smoking gun: US Treasury fined Trump's casinos $10 million for "significant, long standing anti-money laundering violations"

It's Not Hillary's Fault that so many Americans don't believe in Climate Change

and are willing to vote for someone oblivious and even hostile to the massive climate disruption going on.

The media is largely to blame, and greed.

The planetary ecosystem is in HUGE trouble.

US ethics office struggled to gain access to Trump Team, emails show

Source: CNBC

The office tasked with overseeing ethics and conflicts in the federal government struggled to gain access to leaders of the Trump transition team, and warned Trump aides about making decisions on nominees or blind trusts without ethics guidance, according to new emails obtained by MSNBC.

Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub emailed Trump aides in November to lament that despite his office's repeated outreach, "we seem to have lost contact with the Trump-Pence transition since the election."

Trump aides may also be risking "embarrassment for the President-elect," Shaub warned, by "announcing cabinet picks" without letting the ethics office review their financial information in advance. The perils for White House staff were even more severe, Shaub argued, because they might begin their jobs without crucial ethics guidance, raising a risk of inadvertently breaking federal rules.

"They run the risk of having inadvertently violated the criminal conflicts of interest restriction at 18 USC 208," Shaub wrote, citing a federal conflicts law in an email to Trump Transition aide Sean Doocey.
