I went to a community outreach program in September at my local high school. Last year 3 local high school kids OD'd on heroin. Another OD'd on prescription drugs stolen from his parents medicine cabinet. Those were the 4 that died. Several more ended up in the hospital. The local sheriff breaks up underage drinking parties every weekend some with up to 100 kids. Over the years we've lost local kids to DWI. I cried in the car afterwards, worried if I've been keeping a close enough tab on my kids without smothering them.
