Trump campaign soliciting illegal donations from Scottish MP

Blatant FEC violation on the part of the Trump campaign.

The Federal Elections Commission is very clear on the fact that foreign nationals cannot legally donate to candidates in the United States. The reason is pretty simple—they don’t want U.S. elections to be influenced by outside money. That apparently didn’t stop the Trump campaign from sending a fundraising solicitation to Scottish Parliament members. The email was from Donald Trump, Jr., on behalf of his father. Scottish Member of Parliament Natalie McGarry was repulsed by Trump’s “repugnant campaign” and she fiercely replied back with a public flogging.

Apparently, they sent fundraising emails to Icelandic parliamentarians as well:

Numerous members of the Icelandic parliament are both bemused and confused by an email, apparently received by all of then, asking for donations to the presidential campaign of Donald Trump. Independence Party MP Guđlaugur Ţór Ţórđarson told MBL that he was surprised to receive the email; more so to be addressed as a “friend” of Trump in said email. He also confirmed for reporters that he would not be donating to the Trump campaign.

Martin O'Malley to Campaign for Hillary Clinton in Iowa

"Martin O'Malley is headed back to Iowa -- for Hillary Clinton"

O'Malley, who exited the race for the nomination after coming in a distant third in the Iowa caucuses, will campaign at a phone bank in Des Moines on Thursday and will speak at a Clinton campaign organizing event in Sioux City the next day....

The former governor is expected to focus his address Friday on Clinton's economic plans.

Martin O'Malley Calls for Reinstatement of Assault Weapons Ban

"Reinstate The Combat Assault Weapons Ban Now"

When it comes to reducing gun violence in America, our leaders are playing a deadly game of small ball. And everyday Americans are losing badly.

This year alone, including Orlando, more than 6,200 Americans have lost their lives due to gun violence. It is a staggering toll as we near the half way mark for 2016. An incalculable loss for every family and community struck.

And yet, the United States Congress is fighting to debate and vote on only the most incremental reforms to reduce gun violence.

While enhanced background checks, closing gun show loopholes, and imposing “no fly - no buy” provisions are important, these steps represent a fraction of what we must do as a society to curb gun violence in our communities.

I received my first hide.

And I got it for saying something truthful and compassionate.

No snark. No anger. No name-calling. Just compassion and concern based upon observation of actual behavior.

And I said it in this protected group.

What I said is likely to be proved true in the next several weeks or months.

So, when does this primary end?

Has anyone else thought of the movie -- "The King of Hearts"?

Bernie will have to be an adult and speak for himself.

He will have to publicly concede and commit to campaigning for Hillary Clinton and against Donald Trump.

He won't do it, in my humble opinion. Not ever. That movement on his part would require an admission that his attacks against Clinton and the Democratic party were, at the very least, exaggerations.

He is imprisoned by his inability to change his mind about people and politics.

Bernie has been attacking the Democratic party for decades.

He isn't going to stop now. His fundamental resentment goes deeper than winning or losing a primary.

He has become too attached to his anger to let go of it. He wants to destroy the Democratic party and then recreate it in his own image.

He is being consumed by his own rage. I do not think that anyone, including President Obama and Secretary Clinton, will be able to talk him out of his self-destructive mission to destroy the Democratic party.

He doesn't seem to have objective close friends, who are concerned about his "obsessive" behavior and might be able to reason with him. I also see no inclination on the part of his wife Jane to intervene to end Bernie's self-contradictory "vendetta."

It seems that neither he nor anyone close to him sees the futility of his continuing to throw punches after the fight has been called in his opponent's favor.

I just received this email from Martin O'Malley:

Martin O'Malley - O'Say Can You See PAC

Yesterday I joined millions of Americans across the country by endorsing Hillary Clinton to be our next president.

The voters have spoken, and it is now time to unite our Party. I urge all of my friends and supporters to campaign for Secretary Clinton, and am committing my energies to doing the same.

Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike must come together to confront the dangerous threat to our democracy presented by Donald Trump.

We deserve better.

Together we can create an economy that works for all of us again. Together we can remind America that every citizen matters. Together we can keep the Democratic Party where it belongs- leading America towards a more progressive future.

Let’s get to work,
