Who owns Democratic Underground and is it connected to the Hillary campaign?

Was thinking about getting a membership but have a few basic questions about the company.

Who funds it? Does it take money from pro-Clinton groups that are promoting Hillary for president?

Also do the site owner give money to Hillary?

As a Bernie Sanders supporter I don't want to accidentally donate to an opposing campaign.

I tried asking this question in the "Welcome and Help" forum but they made fun of it as a conspiracy theory and then hid my thread and called me a troll.
