If Russia were to hit the U.S. with a nuclear first strike, would Trump respond?

CNN Politics, 2-18-2019

" Former acting FBI director: Trump's 'own words' prompted counterintelligence investigation "
………………….

" Even after the investigation was launched, McCabe said the President continued to praise Russia, and described an instance where Trump said he trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin in blatant contradiction with US intelligence.

McCabe told CBS that Trump didn't believe North Korea had done a missile test because Putin told him the rogue regime didn't have the capability or the missiles to carry out tests for missiles that could hit the US. McCabe said Trump said so during a White House intelligence briefing, which an FBI official who was present at the briefing relayed to McCabe.

"Intelligence officials in the briefing responded that that was not consistent with any of the intelligence our government possesses, to which the President replied, 'I don't care. I believe Putin,'" McCabe said. "

Would Trump respond to a Putin nuclear first strike?

...I have my doubts...

The Venezuelan Resolution?

New York Times, 2-10-2019

" ‘Dangerous Territory’ for Democrats as Republicans Seize Venezuela Moment in Miami "

" Ms. Detraux, who left Venezuela 12 years ago and became a United States citizen last year, said she had lost hope until Mr. Guaidó came along, and the United States and its allies in the Western Hemisphere and Europe rallied behind him. Though she leans Republican, Ms. Detraux had not liked Mr. Trump at first. Then he delivered on his promised hard line on Venezuela.

“Thank God we have this president,” she said. “At least he’s listened to us. Unfortunately, the previous administration did not.” "
…………….

" “It is very dangerous territory for Democrats,” State Senator Annette Taddeo of Miami, a Colombian-American and a Democrat, said of her party’s handling of the Venezuela issue. “Republicans are very smart about working on the margins. They know that a state like Florida is usually decided by 1 percent or less, so all they need are enough of the Venezuelans, enough of the Colombians, enough of the Puerto Ricans.” "
……………

" More top Democrats, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., have thrown their support behind Mr. Guaidó over the past few days. "

What are you doing during the game?

...it may be considered un-American by some, but I really don't care about football...I enjoyed playing sports as a kid, but today all I see in football are millionaires employed by billionaires playing a kid's game...and we, directly or indirectly, get to pay for it all...

...it's sort of the feeling I have about the lottery...I have yet to buy my first lottery ticket...if I was to participate, I couldn't escape the feeling of being played for a sucker...

...so, I think I may take a long car ride now that the cold spell has snapped, or maybe just go out to eat with Grandma, who like me, doesn't give a rat's ass about organized capitalist sports...

...but whatever you do, for heaven's sake, enjoy yourself...
