Re Greitens: It ain't over 'til it's over

Media Advisory: Statement issued by Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker on Greitens case
For Immediate Release
May 29, 2018
From Jean Peters Baker, Jackson County Prosecutor:
In an earlier statement, I said that my office will not comment about the case involving Governor Greitens or its review until our Office’s work had been completed. Given today’s events, however, we believe that a brief statement is needed.
In short, our investigation continues. In the interest of pursing justice to its fullest lengths, we will continue until our work on the case is completed.
Specifically regarding any deals we made with Governor Greitens’ attorneys, no deals were made by my office. Our review of this case, as I have stated before, will be pursued without fear or favor.
My office will not make any further comments on this case.

Just saw this from 2011--Mueller about organized crime

So comforting to read this in light of current events, and in a conversational voice. I'm going to look for more of these.

My first attempt to make a post. Hoping I did it right!

Rosenstein is before the Judiciary Committee right now

And I just discovered that even if you don't have cable, you can watch it here, live: https://judiciary.house.gov/hearing/oversight-hearing-deputy-attorney-general-rod-rosenstein/

Question, don't know where to ask re advertisements on DU on phone

I usually use DU on my laptop and don't see ads. On my phone, I am offered a free duffle bag if I join the NRA. I find this an odd choice of sponsors for DU. Can anyone 'splain to me?

I am looking for a book about how Germans felt when Hitler came to power

I am talking about the people who did not like him, were not targeted specifically, and how they dealt with it all. I keep seeing posts saying that we need to be more aware than they were. I know there must be a classic that describes how it was--do you know what the book is?

I am also looking for a similar book regarding France, and how the French Resistance became organized and stayed aware.

Thanks--

Questions

1.Why can't President Obama dump him on Wednesday after Hilary wins?

2. Have I become hopelessly jaded by thinking this? Or just more realistic? He will be removed from his position. And then he will get some enormous job with a defense contractor.

Still, bye-bye. Bye-bye, Mr. Comey! Bye-bye!

Kansas City Star "lays off" reporter who has been exposing Trump advisor, Brownback

Yesterday this article was printed in The Star. This morning its author was laid off. This leaves one person on the paper's editorial board.

Coincidence?
