HARVARD YOUTH POLL FINDS CLINTON IN COMMANDING LEAD OVER TRUMP AMONG YOUNG VOTERS

A new national poll of America’s 18 to 29 year olds by Harvard’s Institute of Politics (IOP), at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, finds Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump by 28%. Clinton captured 49% of likely young voters’ support while Trump received 21% in a four-way race. Gary Johnson garnered 14% and Jill Stein received 5%, with 11% remaining undecided. Clinton is also polling ahead of President Obama’s 2012 polling numbers among key groups within this demographic.

The IOP’s newest poll results – its 31st major poll release since 2000 – also show that a majority of 18 to 29 year olds are fearful about the future of America. When asked about the future of the country, 51% of young Americans feel “fearful” and 20% feel “hopeful.”

“Young voters are fearful about the future of America, and that is moving them to action. I am hopeful that the next president and leaders in Congress will empower and engage them after the election to move our country forward,” said Harvard Institute of Politics Polling Director John Della Volpe.

Flashback in History. Michigan Governor race Blanchard vs. Engler. Don't assume. VOTE!

Flashback 1990 Michigan.

Gov. Blanchard was set to be reelected Governor of Michigan and was ahead in every poll, and by large numbers. People, like my aunt, who still feels guilty to this day, stayed home. Her friends stayed home, too. Many, many people stayed home. It was a gimme, right? Blanchard was going to win reelection and win big.

Blanchard lost by 17,000 votes.

Never assume. Vote.

Latina Sisters Trolled Eric Trump With A Simple T-Shirt. Receipts inside!

The Latina sisters, 23 and 17, are second-generation Americans of Cuban descent, as well as supporters of Hillary Clinton.

When the sisters found out the Trumps were holding an event in their hometown, Ceci said she messaged her sister to say, “Oh my God, we have to go.”

So, Annie grabbed a sharpie and wrote the words “Latina contra Trump” (Latina against Trump) on a white t-shirt. She covered it with a sweater, then the pair headed off to the event at a local restaurant.

At the end of his speech, a reporter asked if the sisters were going to try to line up for a photo with Trump.

“I was sort of in disbelief when they actually called us forward,” Ceci said. “I was like, ‘This is not happening. There’s no way they don’t see this shirt.’

The Price I’ve Paid for Opposing Donald Trump. Trump’s alt-right trolls. MUST READ

I distinctly remember the first time I saw a picture of my then-seven-year-old daughter’s face in a gas chamber. It was the evening of September 17, 2015. I had just posted a short item to the Corner calling out notorious Trump ally Ann Coulter for aping the white-nationalist language and rhetoric of the so-called alt-right. Within minutes, the tweets came flooding in. My youngest daughter is African American, adopted from Ethiopia, and in alt-right circles that’s an unforgivable sin. It’s called “race-cucking” or “raising the enemy.”

I saw images of my daughter’s face in gas chambers, with a smiling Trump in a Nazi uniform preparing to press a button and kill her. I saw her face photo-shopped into images of slaves. She was called a “niglet” and a “dindu.” The alt-right unleashed on my wife, Nancy, claiming that she had slept with black men while I was deployed to Iraq, and that I loved to watch while she had sex with “black bucks.” People sent her pornographic images of black men having sex with white women, with someone photoshopped to look like me, watching.

When we both publicized some of the racist attacks — I in National Review and Nancy in the Washington Post — things took a far more ominous turn. Late the next evening — while Nancy was, fortunately, offline attending a veterans’ charity event in D.C. — the darker quarters of the alt-right found her Patheos blog. Several different accounts began posting images and GIFs of extreme violence in her comments section.

Click on a post and scroll down and you’ll see pictures of black men shooting other black men, close-up images of suicides, GIFs of grisly executions — the kinds of psyche-scarring things that one can’t “unsee.” Had I not deployed to Iraq and witnessed death up close, the images would have shocked me. I quickly got on the phone with Nancy, told her not to look at her website, and got busy deleting comments and blocking IP addresses, but in the meantime a few friends and neighbors had seen the posts.

Longtime Trump supporter switches to Hillary after realizing Trump is ’23 cans short of a case’

Ten months ago, Philadelphia resident and former Pennsylvania state senator T. Milton Street attended a Trump rally in Virginia and expressed his enthusiastic support for the candidate.

In fact, Trump even name-checked Street during one of his rallies and called him a “highly respected, great man in Philadelphia.”

Now, however, Street tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that he’s jumped off the Trump train and has switched to a vehicle that seems much less likely to end up a smoking wreck.

Specifically, Street says he decided against voting for Trump after realizing the candidate is “23 cans short of a full case,” and now he’s going to vote for Hillary Clinton instead.

Trump’s rhetoric excites ‘Christian soldier’ for civil war: ‘Your skin color will be your uniform’

Donald Trump’s recent rhetoric about rigged elections and a constitutional crisis would fulfill the fantasies of some supporters, who’ve been stockpiling weapons and food as they look forward to what most people would consider a worst-case scenario.

Jim Moseley, a self-described “Christian soldier” from Greenville, South Carolina, is buying extra ammunition and canned goods to prepare for what he believes will be a second civil war,

Liberals will have targets on their backs, as their behaviors are pretty much evident,” Moseley posted. “Race wars will begin as well, as your skin color will be your uniform!

It’s not clear, of course, whether any of these “lone-wolf patriots” will act out their violent fantasies — but election officials in some states aren’t taking any chances.

Denver is requiring its 350 election judges to complete active shooter training ahead of the Nov. 8 election, just in case.

Hillary was like a champion matador, moving masterfully around the snorting, spewing bull

By the end, Hillary Clinton was like a champion matador, moving masterfully around the perpetually snorting, spewing, infuriated bull she had finally goaded into going off on the same senseless, paranoid, alt-right tears. Donald Trump stomped off on one bizarre, history-making rant after another, while Mrs. Clinton deftly stepped around his horns and stuck another banderilla between the shoulder blades.

Never before has an American candidate for president seemed to openly revel in the successes of a foreign terrorist organization against American troops and their allies, as Mr. Trump seemed to when he crowed that resistance in Mosul is “much tougher than we thought.” Never has one accused his opponent of stealing or losing “six billion dollars” from the State Department. Never has one accused his opponent of paying demonstrators “$1,500"to start riots at his rallies, or described the NATO alliance as a protection racket. (Mr. Trump simultaneously credited himself with making the Euro-patsies pay off.)

Mr. Trump sunk to new lows of infantile nonsense, unable to restrain himself from nonstop mugging and smirking, and shooting off his usual, schoolboy taunts and jibes. “You can’t,” Mr. Trump told us, when Mrs. Clinton said, “Let me translate this.” Other brilliant pieces of repartee included constant repetitions of “Wrong. Wrong. Wrong,” “Why don’t you give back the money?” “You know it, and I know it, and everybody knows it,” “We’ve heard this before, Hillary,” and the grand, misogynistic finale, “Such a nasty woman.”

Before it was all over, Fox’s Chris Wallace — who, incidentally, proved himself by far the best moderator of the debates but who, like all the rest, offered not a single question on climate change — was practically remonstrating with Mr. Trump to join his own daughter in pledging to accept the election results. Mr. Trump, to the end, would offer only another, thoroughly childish rejoinder: “I will tell you at the time. I will keep you in suspense.”

A Union Is Building A Wall Of Taco Trucks Outside Trump’s Las Vegas Hotel

A wall is going up outside the Trump International Las Vegas hotel Wednesday morning.

The Culinary Union, long a Donald Trump antagonist in Las Vegas, is going to “build” a wall of taco trucks outside Trump’s hotel, just a couple miles from UNLV, site of the final presidential debate.

The groups aim to have at least five taco trucks outside the hotel, in addition to a banner in the style of a wall that participants will be able to sign.

“We’re reminding Mr. Trump that immigrant workers here and across the country will be watching the debate and voting in November,” said Yvanna Cancela, the political director for the majority Latino and predominantly immigrant union.
