The second coming of Yeezy – Kanye West anoints Tel Aviv
Concert and visit to Israel follows Kanye's announcement he'll run for president in 2020, possibly helping boost his foreign policy credentials.

Some two thousand years ago after he was reportedly crucified for our sins, Jesus of Nazareth returned to the Holy Land Wednesday night, in the form of a rapper, fashion designer, and future presidential candidate from Chicago named Kanye West.

Long a self-appointed deity or at least a messenger of God on Earth – rapper Kanye West (“Yeezy”) spent 90 minutes Wednesday night working hard, keeping 25,000 people on their feet at Ramat Gan Stadium with a long set list of bangers and what might be called “Kanye power ballads”.
'I despised myself for hating Israel'
Twenty-two-year-old Sharif Gaber is a typical young Egyptian in many ways but his political opinions have made him a highly controversial figure on social media - he's a supporter of Israel and happily tells the world why.

Gaber agreed to speak with Ynet this week from an unidentified location in Egypt for fear of authorities who have not taken kindly to his opinions.

He told his story - that of a devout Muslim who dutifully memorized verses from the Quran, until change slowly came to him.

"I studied the history of religion and Islamic law, but since 2011, everything changed," said Gaber. "I saw a video of a girl being pelted by stones and from that moment, I started wondering if Islam holds water - it happened one step at a time.

As he moved away from religious Islam, Gaber said he began to think logically about Israel.
Palestinians attack US tourists mistaken as settlers
Palestinians attacked five US tourists driving in the flashpoint West Bank city of Hebron on Thursday, hurling a petrol bomb and rocks at their car, police said, apparently mistaking them for settlers.

The visitors, said by Israel's Channel 2 television to be students at a Jewish seminary in Brooklyn, were given refuge by a Palestinian man who sheltered them in his home until Israeli security forces arrived to escort them to safety, the police statement said.

It added that two of the young men were lightly injured and given first aid on the spot.

Channel 2 said the men's vehicle was torched only after they had abandoned it.

The men, wearing the skullcaps of observant Jews, were said to have inadvertently driven into the residential neighbourhood of Jebel Johar while searching for the nearby shrine known to Jews as the Cave of the Patriarchs and to Muslims as the Ibrahimi Mosque and revered by both.

Palestinian security sources said they were mistaken for Israeli settlers by the Palestinians.
