Soros: Trump is a "con artist and would-be dictator"

"Democracy is now in crisis. Even the US, the world’s leading democracy, elected a con artist and would-be dictator as its president. Although Trump has toned down his rhetoric since he was elected, he has changed neither his behavior nor his advisers. His cabinet comprises incompetent extremists and retired generals."

"But the US will be preoccupied with internal struggles in the near future, and targeted minorities will suffer. The US will be unable to protect and promote democracy in the rest of the world. On the contrary, Trump will have greater affinity with dictators. That will allow some of them to reach an accommodation with the US, and others to carry on without interference. Trump will prefer making deals to defending principles. Unfortunately, that will be popular with his core constituency."

Trump pick backs out of White House job after affair allegations

Source: Politico

Donald Trump’s newly tapped White House communications director, Jason Miller, backed out of the job following claims that he had an affair with another transition official, according to three sources close to the Trump transition.

Two days after his appointment as communications director was announced, Miller told POLITICO on Christmas Eve that he was stepping down because the White House job would be too demanding at a time when he needed to devote attention to his family. He and his wife are expecting their second child next month.

Newt Gingrich Admits Donald Trump Does Not Yet Have A Plan To Beat ISIS

Source: The Huffington Post

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich conceded that President-elect Donald Trump does not yet have a plan for defeating the Islamic State militant group.

“I don’t think they have a strategy,” Gingrich told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. “I think that what they know, which is important, is that they are gonna need a strategy.”

Gingrich, an informal adviser to the president-elect, went on to express confidence that Trump’s general-heavy roster of security advisers and cabinet members would develop a strong approach to fighting the terror group.

“They are going to be able to produce a very aggressive strategy. They have a much better grip on reality than the Obama administration did,” he added.

That's no surprise to anyone with a brain and this isn't a surprise either:

Gingrich then suggested the United States should consider suspending civil liberties to combat terrorism as former President Abraham Lincoln did during the Civil War.

The bastard doesn't even see the need for a Reichstag fire. These fuckers are dangerous beyond belief.

Amazon Reviewers Are Trolling Ivanka Trump, But That Won't Decide Her Brand's Fate

Reviews of the Ivanka Trump Women's Issa boots, which tout a list price of $180, included this: "These boots were perfect for wiping my feet on the Constitution and trampling the civil liberties and basic human rights of my fellow Americans," wrote a user named Susan Harper. "The spike heel is ideal for grinding democracy into the ground, or simply kicking the downtrodden as you stride past."

Amazon user AR called them "two extremely right boots" in her one star review and added that the "sizing and all other info is in Russian, but they are made in China."

Offer of access to Trump and family at fundraiser is pulled back, but ties remain

Source: The Washington Post

The initial invitation from Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump dangled a rare opportunity for donors willing to pony up $500,000 and more: a private reception with the new president the day after his inauguration and a hunting or fishing excursion with one of the brothers.

Opening Day is your opportunity to play a significant role as our family commemorates the inauguration of our father, friend and President Donald J. Trump, read the draft obtained by TMZ.

But days after the details about the high-dollar Jan. 21 camouflage & cufflinks-themed fundraiser first leaked, a spokeswoman for the president-elect said Tuesday that neither he nor his adult sons were involved in plans for the event. And the organizers of the function who include close friends of the Trump brothers dialed back offers of access to the new president and his sons.

What a crock o' shit this is. The Most Dangerous Clown needs to be stopped now.

And this:

"The conservation foundation named Tuesday as the events beneficiary told The Washington Post that it is still considering whether to participate."

"No matter which group benefits from the event, watchdog groups said the arrangement is effectively selling wealthy donors access to the highest office in the land."

Source: NPR

One day after Vanity Fair printed a highly critical piece about one of his restaurants, President-elect Donald Trump escalated his feud with the magazine's editor, calling him a "no talent."

"Has anyone looked at the really poor numbers of @VanityFair Magazine," Trump said in an early-morning Tweet. "Way down, big trouble, dead! Graydon Carter, no talent, will be out!"

Vanity Fair is now using the banner "The ""Way Down, Big Trouble, Dead!"" Magazine Donald Trump Doesn't Want You To Read".

I just purchased subscriptions for two of my dumpster relatives as last minute Christmas gifts. As Cousin Eddie would say "It's a gift that keeps on giving all year long."
