Homer Simpson went to the gas station, bought $10 in gas to get his child a free toy.

After several times filling the tank, he still couldn't get the toy she wanted.

Homer Simpson: "No child of mine shall go without anything, except quality health care!"

I haven't seen the Simpson's in years, this cracked me up.
I believe it was 2009-10.

Why aren't there more "Bernies" ?

What he's saying is striking the perfect chord with so many—because he makes so much sense.
Why does it seem he's the lone voice in U.S. politics?

Looking forward to some rain tomorrow in Southern California. :)

I hope I can get myself up early enough, to go on a cold morning run—and if it rains, all the better.

California Running out of Water

http://upriser.com/posts/california-will-run-out-of-water-in-a-year-nasa-scientist-says

"California is running out of water fast, according to NASA senior water scientist. Shockingly, the entire state of California will be out of water in just a year's time.

Yes, California will run out of water in 12 months, according to Jay Famiglietti, NASA senior water scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

As difficult as it may be to face, the simple fact is that California is running out of water — and the problem started before the current drought. NASA data reveals that total water storage in California has been in steady decline since at least 2002, when satellite-based monitoring began, although groundwater depletion has been going on since the early 20th century."

------------------------

I don't know anything about that news sight or the scientist, but I find it believable. We keep getting what are known as "Santa Ana" events in the south part of California—hot and dry. Then in the summer it's hot and humid. But no rain.

Remember to turn your clocks forward! That is...

if you're in the U.S., and if your state is into that.
I don't mind it, because I like getting up early and running in the cooler temps (I'm in So. Calif.) and this time change makes it earlier.
But I'm not a big fan of changing the clocks and messing with everyone's sleep patterns—especially my confused dog at meal time.

Either way, Happy DLST!
:/

edited, cuz my dumb brain was thinking wrong.

Southern California South Bay: the rain at 11pm. Wow! That was awesome!

Just when I thought it couldn't rain any harder, it came down harder and louder.
More please! If it all drops here, they burn areas won't have so much to deal with.

Placentia Teacher Found Hanging In High School Classroom

http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2015/03/02/report-placentia-teacher-found-hanging-in-high-school-classroom/

PLACENTIA (CBSLA.com) — A teacher was found hanging Monday inside a classroom in Placentia, according to reports.

The unidentified female teacher was found deceased inside a classroom at El Dorado High School at 1641 Valencia Avenue just before school started Monday morning, according to Placentia Police Lt. Eric Point.

Students and another teacher got her down to the floor and called 911 about 8:40 a.m., according to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi.

This is the high school I attended in Southern California.
Why would a teacher do this to her students/faculty?
