Texas 4th Worst State For Women's Equality Day: Report
I failed to guess which state was the worst State for women's equality but it sure made sense when I did learn which one was.
The results are found in a report titled 2020's Best & Worst States for Women's Equality conducted by the personal finance website WalletHub. In order to determine where women receive the most equal treatment in American society, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 17 key metrics. The data set ranges from the gap between female and male executives to the disparity in unemployment rates for women and men.

Sample Womens Equality Day Proclamation
WHEREAS, the women of the United States have historically been treated as second-class citizens and have often been denied the full rights and privileges, public or private, legal or institutional, which are available to male citizens of the United States; and
WHEREAS, the women of the United States have united to assure that these rights and privileges are available to ALL citizens equally, and
WHEREAS, the women of the United States have designated August 26, the anniversary date of the certification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which culminated a 72-year, non-violent campaign to extend the right to vote to women, as symbol of the continued fight for equal rights: and
WHEREAS, the women of United States are to be commended and supported in their organizations and activities,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the (name of elected body or elected official or commanding officer) recognizes the commemoration of that day in 1920, on which the women of America won their right to vote, as an opportunity to continue to work for equal rights for ALL citizens.
At the behest of Rep. Bella Abzug (D-NY), in 1971 and passed in 1973, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as Womens Equality Day. The date was selected to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. This was the culmination of a massive, peaceful civil rights movement by women that had its formal beginnings in 1848 at the worlds first womens rights convention, in Seneca Falls, New York. The observance of Womens Equality Day not only commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, but also calls attention to womens continuing efforts toward full equality. Workplaces, libraries, organizations, and public facilities now participate with Womens Equality Day programs, displays, video showings, or other activities.

Census lacks door knockers needed for 2020 count, watchdog says
Source: MIKE SCHNEIDER Associated Press and 2020 KVUE-TV.
ORLANDO, Fla The U.S. Census Bureau is short by more than 25% of the door knockers needed for the 2020 census, according to its watchdog agency, and it's about to let go of its least productive census takers.
Both developments highlight persistent questions about whether the bureau has enough manpower to get a complete and accurate head count under an accelerated time frame preferred by the Trump administration. Bureau officials, though, say they are pleased with the progress made by census takers and are on pace to finish the job.
The Office of Inspector General's alert this week says it's concerned about the bureaus ability to hire and retain workers, with six weeks left in the count that helps determine the distribution of $1.5 trillion in federal spending and how many congressional seats and Electoral College votes each state gets.
The bureau needed more than 300,000 census takers by the end of August but by mid-month, just 220,000 census takers were trained and ready to start knocking on the doors of households that havent yet responded to the census. Thirty-seven of the nation's 248 census offices arent even halfway toward reaching their hiring goals, the office said.
Without taking timely action, the bureau is at risk of not conducting a complete and accurate 2020 Census, the memorandum from the Office of Inspector General said.

The bureau acknowledges that more than a third of people hired to be census takers arent showing up for either training or their assignments.
Despite the greater-than-expected attrition, the bureau said it has increased productivity while aggressively training new workers to fill the slots of no-shows.
The statistical agency is still recruiting and hiring census takers to fill the jobs of people who have dropped out over coronavirus fears or other concerns, and it's giving cash awards to the most experienced census takers.
Census takers have been given face masks and hand sanitizers, and they're instructed to maintain at least six feet of distance while asking households in-person questions about their race, sex, Hispanic origin and relationships to each other.

Our census takers are working more hours and completing more cases than we had planned, the bureau said in statement.
The census taker shortfall is coming as the bureau's operational plan calls for it to let go of less productive door knockers and transfer their caseloads to higher performers so that the most experienced census takers can work on the hardest-to-reach households.

At $21.00 per hr. could be good temp job for some who need something right now. They need 300,000 more workers.
"Phoenix has its own 'I can't breathe' case. The outcome was far different"
Enough! Warning on video.
.... In 2017, Muhammad Abdul Muhaymin Jr. tried to take his dog with him to the bathroom at a city community center in west Phoenix. The police were called, discovered he had a warrant for his arrest, and decided to detain him.
At least four officers got on top of him and held him down. Some put their knees on his neck and head.
"I can't breathe," Muhaymin is heard saying several times in police body camera footage. When officers eventually got off him, Muhaymin had no pulse, according to comments from officers in the video, and lay in a pool of his own vomit.
He was 43, unarmed and black.
The Maricopa County Examiner's Office ruled Muhaymin's death a homicide, according to that office's database. Muhaymin is one of 35 people who died while in police custody in Maricopa County since 2017, according to the county prosecutor's office.

When the House Impeaches a President, Senate must hold a trial
That is the one change I would like to see come out of this whole trump Houdini act (orchestrated by corrupt GOP Senators) on Capital Hill.
Today vs 4 years ago and trump voters
They are starting to peel away from repubs and this Post Office scheme seems to have finally have been the thing to push folks off the cliff ... Covid-19 had everyone at the edge. My little story. I have been going to physical therapy for the last two weeks with four different young people working with me. Three out of the four voted for trump last time. Crazy, right. But like plenty of others, they bought the con's brand four years ago, the media sure did help sell his shit by not doing any vetting.
ALL these young folks are now going to vote against trump this time! And, I have convinced them to vote against every repub, as well. Told them how the whole stinking bunch are just as rotten as trump by allowing trump to have stayed in office and could have impeached him when they knew he was guilty as charged. repubs failed in their oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America! Man oh mam did I get them riled up. Also, I said get all your friends and family and spread the message. Safest way to vote is by mail; early, place in drop box (not post). We live in Michigan so all registered voters can request a mail in ballot but our votes won't count if not delivered by election day and some voting machines are touch screen and can't be trusted from hacking. The silent majority is going to be a big surprise turnout FOR JOE AND KAMALA. You can take that to the bank. One other thing very different today compared to four years ago or even one year ago is that they seemed very eager to listen, it was as if they grew ears or something. They let me talk and thanked me even! WTH?
There are 'reachables' out there, Joe knows that. Stay with the strategy.
My 2 cents on 2 damn issues of the day
#1 I wish that we could see the same outrage that was thrust upon Colin Kaeperernick, by those same people who were so apoplectic for someone taking a knee at a sporting event, thrust upon trump for not doing shit about the bounties placed on our men and women serving on the God forsaken battle fields of foreign lands. Where are they now, the "I stand for the National Anthem, I stand for the Flag" crowd? Troops can't hear you !!!!!
#2 The powerful rich, white folks, taking advantage of a talented, clearly mentally ill Black man, Kayne West. Kim K has been begging people who will listen, to help. Kayne is not in a right state of mind and yet trump operatives are convincing him (seemingly pushing him) that he needs to run for the presidency.
They did similar shit to Mike Tyson too!!! They made Mike go off his meds so he would be a better fighter (a killer)... who knows what else they were doing to him or giving him. But Mike went crazy, raped and beat his wife, tried to kill her. I in no way excuse Mike T but those handlers did contribute to his crack up. They ruined his life and first chance at happiness, in his hard life. Exploitation at the highest level. This needs to be shouted from the highest rooftops by those around Kayne ... get allies, respected Black leaders to help. Not to be political as much as to stop this abuse of someone who is ill. Disgusting
Is Joe singing this song to Kamala? LOL
Bubble gummers will dig it! Silliness, corniness warning.
