Maureen Dowd Denies Sending Amy Pascal's Hubby Column In Advance

Source: TheWrap

New Sony leaks suggest New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd previewed a column she was writing about Sony Pictures chief Amy Pascal to Pascal's husband Bernard Weinraub–a former Times reporter– before it was published, but Dowd denied to TheWrap that she had done so:

“I never showed Bernie the column in advance or promised to show it. Bernie is an old friend and the Times’ former Hollywood reporter, and he sometimes gives me ideas for entertainment columns. In January, he suggested a column, inspired by a study cited in the L.A. Times, about the state of women in Hollywood. Amy is a friend and I reassured her before our interview that it wasn't an antagonistic piece. She wasn't the focus of the story, nor was Sony.

I emailed with Bernie and talked to him before I wrote the column in March, getting his perspective on the Hollywood old boys’ club and the progress of women. But I didn't send him the column beforehand.”

What was the reason for keeping Brown's body in the street, uncovered, for 4 hours?

I understand there are reasons for documenting the crime scene, but why couldn't the body have been covered by a tent or such until documentation took place?

What is the official excuse? Do they have one? (I believe I know the unofficial reason - this is what happens if you're black!)

Darren Wilson is 6'4'', 210 lbs.

At the time of his death, Michael Brown was also 6'4" and 292lbs.

Remember that when Wilson talks about how small he felt.

Janice Dickinson in 2006: Cosby "preys on women"

Everything she is saying now (including lawsuit concerns) she said back in 2006 - for those who think she has "jumped on the bandwagon."

Hillary Clinton meets with Vogue's Anna Wintour for possible cover

Hillary Clinton might be about to get her first Vogue cover since 1998. The Daily News reports that Clinton and Anna Wintour were recently spotted “studying a rack of clothes” at Michael Kors’s midtown studio.

..........

There were reports that she was to reprise her cover stardom in 2007, after announcing her presidential candidacy, but backed out at the last minute. (Perhaps fearing being trashed by the likes of Politico for relying on the so-called "princess effect."

Her only cover, in 1998:

She has appeared inside the magazine multiple times (articles and book excerpt.) March is their thick "Women in Power" issue and I'd wager that's the month she'd appear on.

Who would be Mitt Romney's running mate in 2016?

Would he go back with Paul Ryan, who himself is considering running? Remember there was some tension between them and Paul reportedly called Mitt "The Stench?" Perhaps he could pluck a lady woman from one of his woman binders.

What do you think?

What's with the new background music on Morning Joke

Mika is reading/previewing the top stories and they have awful ACTION! music playing in the background. It's not as bad or loud as the music during Chuck Todd's show - but it's cheap and very Fox.

Anthony Weiner might still be sexting

Weiner found himself trying to explain why he would favorite a tweet that claimed “Tinder will now be the ultimate sext machine.” It was a tweet by former Slate staffer Matt Yglesias, who is now Vox’s executive editor, and included a link to a piece about a new photo feature in the dating app.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2014/06/15/anthony_weiner_favorites_ultimate_sext_machine_tweet.html

Moments later, he scrubbed his Twitter history so that it appeared that he had only favorited one Tweet as opposed to the 27 favorites he had earlier in the day.

Before he deleted his favoriting history, The Village Voice reports that there were at least six instances where he liked photos of a buxom brunette in California.

One of the photos that he liked showed the woman, who uses the Instagram handle ParisDylan550, 'Fresh out the showaaa' wearing a pair of purple underwear and no pants. She posted the photo early Friday meaning that he would have liked the photo at some point this morning.
