Pounding wind and rain
Sweeping the open field
Thunder and lightning strike
Unto this power, I yield
The masses of humanity
Cruelly pound the Earth
Tiny specks of vanity
Shine of my true worth
What is the pecking order?
How am I to know?
Being neither first or last
A drop in an endless flow

Global warming has never been an issue for me mainly because I spent a large amount of my life homeless and cold. I dropped out of middle school in the early 70s and global warming was never mentioned.
Is it real and if it is, what are the consequences?
Russell Wilson. Cusp of greatness. Part deax.
If the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl then Russell Wilson will become the first Quarterback in National Football League history to win the Super Bowl two out of the first three years in the league.
I would argue he was the best QB in the NFL in his rookie year, where, if Pete Carroll hadn't tried to freeze the Atlanta kicker with a surprise timeout. It should be 3 in a row for Wilson.
MSG and Hubris added.
Wilson on the cusp of greatness?
If Wilson and the Seahawks can win the next two games I believe this will rocket Russell Wilson into a first ballot selection for the Hall of Fame and some of his fellow players will accompany him.
The Seattle defense has to scrimmage against Wilson. They know who the best QB in the NFL is. Slow and injured Rodgers and old man Brady are no match for the speed of Seattle's defense.
I've been a Seahawk fan since the expansion in 1976 and this is an exciting time. We have here maybe the best football team that ever lived.
Should I join the Dark Empire?
As I get ready for another graveyard shift as a cashier I find myself facing a very tough decision. I was offered a job in Alaska for a major oil company. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they would want me. I am basically an unskilled, damaged, 51 year old financial loser. The job is pretty much cleanup crew and maintenance, which is about all I'm qualified for. The schedule is 16 hour days, 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off. 10k per month!
I've never flown in an airplane in my life, yet this job would require me to fly 4 times a month. The corporation does not allow any workers to hang out at the compound during the 2 week off period.
Weighing the pros and cons of such a move hasn't been easy for me. My cashier job is really starting to suck, mainly because they hired me for drunken troll control as the store is situated right next to a nightclub. So when they come in drooling nacho cheese sauce and slushy juice all over and puke on the floor, I know where I stand in the world. Excuse me while I get the mop bucket again.
My other part time job is depressing, but interesting, where I cut and sandblast headstones then install them in graveyards. So when I get off work from the cashier job I will come home, change clothes, and go on headstone deliveries. I've been poor my whole life. Should I take this job in Alaska? Would I be sacrificing my principles to do so? I would greatly appreciate any comments or criticisms.
Why would we see these guys in NY?
The Sunday morning news show were chock-o-block full of Neo-Cons claiming that if we didn't go back to war in Iraq, right away, that, eventually, we would see these ISIS characters in NY.
Wait a minute! Did I hear that right? It almost sounds like a threat when they say that. Are Neo-Cons going to release ISIS on the streets of NY, like alligators in the sewers, if they don't get their way again?
Or would they rather just let this insinuation hang in the air like a lingering fart, an insult to everyone who lost people on 9/11 and every other citizen of NY?
I could be missing something here like the fact that the Tsarnaev brothers could never have came to America without an upper echelon CIA agent signing for them at the Immigration and Naturalization office.
Are we being threatened here? Is this an admission by Neo-Cons that despite the last 14 years of war, we do not have firm control of keeping terrorists out of our country?
