At Kennedy Center Honors dinner, Pompeo asks when he'll be loved. Linda Ronstadt responds.

sam greisman

At the State Dept. dinner for the Kennedy Center honorees Mike Pompeo wondered aloud when he would be “loved”. Then Linda Ronstadt got up to get laurels, looked the fucker right in the eye and said “maybe when you stop enabling Donald Trump”. Icon.

Trump: "Laws allow a baby to be born from his or her mother's womb in the 9th month. It is wrong."

Noga Tarnopolsky

Statement from The President: "Right now in a number of states the laws allow a baby to be born from his or her mother's womb in the 9th month. It is wrong. It has to change." Watch.

Trump: "Jewish people, that are great people, they don't love Israel enough. You know that."

Aaron Rupar

Trump, speaking to the Israeli American Council: "We have to get the people of our country, of this country, to love Israel more ... because you have people that are Jewish people, that are great people -- they don't love Israel enough. You know that."

Lawrence O'Donnell on one more thing about Trump that could be described as "tiny."

Lawrence O'Donnell

For someone who made it through college, a tiny vocabulary is an indicator of an imperviousness to learning. Trump says “looking very strongly at” all the time because he doesn’t know the adult words for what he means.

PA dairy farmer says that Trump is "sort of back-stabbing the main people who got him into office"

In the clip, introduced by “New Day” host John Berman, correspondent Vanessa Yurkevich began, “Farmers have had a tough couple of years between bad weather and this trade war that has persisted. Nationally, farm bankruptcies are up 20 percent in just the last year and, here, dairy farms in Pennsylvania are dwindling. We spoke to some farmers who supported the president but say they’re rethinking their vote for 2020.”

Introducing dairy owner Bill Boyd of Mount Bethel, she asked, “Is the dairy business profitable?”

“Just like everything else in agriculture right now, barely profitable,” he replied.

“I think he’s sort of back-stabbing the main people who got him into office in the Midwest, all those midwest states helped to vote him in and also Pennsylvania,” Boyd explained. “He just left us out.”

Despite that, when asked if he would vote for Trump in 2020, Boyd conceded, “Unless they come up with a better alternative, I’m going to vote for him again.”

Trump, who knows jack shit about anything, fills you in on "what our Founders had in mind"

President Donald Trump demanded a speedy resolution to the impeachment process, and then he lashed out when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi granted his wish.

The president complained Thursday morning that House Democrats were dragging out the process, and a short time later Pelosi called on House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) to draft articles of impeachment.

That set Trump into another rage spasm.

“The Do Nothing, Radical Left Democrats have just announced that they are going to seek to Impeach me over NOTHING,” Trump tweeted. “They already gave up on the ridiculous Mueller ‘stuff,’ so now they hang their hats on two totally appropriate (perfect) phone calls with the Ukrainian President.”

“This will mean that the beyond important and seldom used act of Impeachment will be used routinely to attack future Presidents,” he added. “That is not what our Founders had in mind. The good thing is that the Republicans have NEVER been more united. We will win!”

Jared Kushner has added another role to his long list of White House duties: U.S.-China trade negotiator.

McConnell: "Okay, can 51 of us agree how we're going to handle this?"

McConnell told reporters Tuesday that he’s preparing a “back-up plan” for figuring out the Senate rules, in case he's not able to strike a bipartisan deal with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on how to structure the proceedings. And that plan, apparently, is to try and cut Democrats out entirely. “The first thing Sen. Schumer and I will do is see if there’s a possibility of agreement on a procedure,” McConnell said. “That failing, I would probably come back to my own members and say: ‘OK, can 51 of us agree how we’re going to handle this?’” The Majority Leader added that he wasn’t sure if he’d prefer a bipartisan deal or working solely with Republicans, telling reporters, “it would depend on what we would agree to.” Should both the bipartisan and partisan negotiations fail to figure out the trial procedure, the task would fall to Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who will be presiding over the trial. Roberts would submit motions to the Senate about the procedure, which could then be passed with 51 votes.
