Beware the fury of a patient man.

Often attributed as a 17th Century translation of a Latin maxim first recorded in the 1st Century B.C.E.

Meaning that the reaction from someone that is not quick to anger, waiting and planning their 'revenge', is much more terrible than the reaction from the hot-tempered.

Plan and consider your actions.

Do not react from fear.

Dispense Justice rather than exact Revenge.

Plan for all the ramifications of an action, so that ONLY a desired and SPECIFICALLY targeted outcome is attained.

Make your weapon a poniard, rather than a mob.

Be an assassin rather than a ravening horde.

Pick the exactly correct tool for the job: no more, no less. Apply it to the specific place necessary with only that force absolutely required.

Do not act from fear, but cold-blooded Necessity.

When ONLY one person or group is precisely targeted with no 'collateral damage', the results stand stark and unmistakable reminder of the consequences of their offenses.

Do the research so that only the guilty party is dealt with, no more, no less.

Your 'revenge' will be all the more terrifying.

I have a lot of problems with the term "Basket of deplorables"

A quantity of waste that toxic and large should be contained in a vessel other than a mere "basket".

Something very large, VERY tightly sealed, and immune to corrosion, bursting, etc...

A simple basket isn't going to do the job with this stuff.

We're going to need something made out of Votes, Vigilance, and Commitment.

We must consign these people and their ideologies the figurative dustbin of history they so richly deserve.

WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS.

We must make that known to all with the utmost emphasis.

And we must guard against its resurgence, whatever it takes. This is IMPORTANT.

Freedom isn't free. Its benefits carry with them responsibilities.

That is something all too many have forgotten. To use a quote of a Libertarian favorite author, Robert A Heinlein, against themselves; "TANSTAAFL: There Ain't No Such Thing As a Free Lunch."

On November 9th, the work starts to get hard. We have to do it, to be sure it's done right.

I'm REALLY looking forward to Clinton / Trump debates

It should be 90+ minutes of absolutely gut-busting comedy.

Hillary calmly answering, and Trump jumping up and down, hooting and flinqing feces.

What kind of alcohol goes best with popcorn?

Thom Hartmann made the observation (to paraphrase) "Everything we know about Hillary we got from right-wing radio and Faux news."

She's breaking that up.

I'm really stoked about the future, but I KNOW we have to work for it.

In the immortal words of the great Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky:

Remember please: Always to call it Research.

Just one small question:

What would the reaction be from the republicans be if a Democratic candidate had a foreign born spouse?

The terms Controller, Manchurian Candidate, spy, and questions of loyalty come to mind.

Also, Lose Their Shit, Screaming Freakout, ....

IOKIYAR, I guess.

The fourth word

Black Lives Matter is the phrase, but there is an implied fourth word.

And, depending on the bias of the listener, that word is different.

It the phrase (Only) Black Lives Matter
Or is it Black Lives Matter (Too) ?

The authoritarian / selfish mindset inserts the former.
While the co-operative / collaborative mindset inserts the latter.

The original intent was the implied (Too).
But the side that is afraid of "Them uppity Blacks" inserts the (Only).

A cry for help became a demand for "special treatment" with one simple change.

A plea becomes a demand

Fear is the key. Frightened people are easy to manipulate.
Don't give in to the forces that want you scared.

In the modern political climate,
Conservatism wants you petrified in fear, hiding behind a gun,
Liberalism wants you hopeful, working to make things better.

Where are you?
