Fun thread: Who is the next pope?

This is kind of a game. Pretend you are the Vatican. Who is the 257th pope? Make it anybody famous who you want? He/she don't have to be Catholic either.

Apparently, Clinton gets too much credit for good economy of 1990s

http://clinton.procon.org/

Funny isn't it how Republicans deny the truth. He was in office when the longest period of peacetime, post-war economic expansion in HISTORY occurred. Keep on dreaming braindead Re-pubes.

Biased magazine

[image][/image]
From an antiaque shop on Sunday, I bought the May 5, 1980 issue of TIME, which talks about the failed Operation Eagle Claw http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Eagle_Claw
.
Now, reading through it, all the journalists in the magazine were mentioning Carter's "failed and pathetic presidency" so I've come to the conclusion that this TIME magazine was biased.

Favorite one-term president

Who is your favorite one-term president? I would say JFK, but being that he never finished his term, I'd have to say Carter.

Old, but interesting news. John Tyler has garandchildren: ALIVE!

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/01/28/thats-old-school-u-s-president-john-tyler-born-in-1790-has-two-living-grandsons/

The grandsons of John Tyler—born in 1790, who took office as America’s 10th president in 1841, and died in 1862 before the end of the Civil War—are still kickin’...So how is it that two grandsons were born almost 140 years after their grandfather? Two successive generations of men who fathered children at advanced ages—even by today’s standards—with much younger wives.

I always thought this was just cool
