*Breaking from the WhiteHouse

Trump to donate $1,000,000 of his own money to Harvey Relief.

WhiteHouse: "We're looking at housing "solutions" in Texas.

FEMA has trailers. Remember when they used them and right wingers used this as a conspiracy theory about the govt. Watch they use these trailers.

FEMA camps conspiracy theory-The FEMA camps conspiracy theory holds that the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is planning to imprison US citizens in concentration camps.[1][2][3] This is typically described as following the imposition of martial law in the United States after a major disaster or crisis. In some versions of the theory, only suspected dissidents will be imprisoned. In more extreme versions, large numbers of US citizens will be imprisoned for the purposes of extermination as a New World Order is established.

Fears of FEMA declined in the early 2000s as foreign terrorists were perceived as the major threat. However, the late-2000s recession and the 2008 election of Barack Obama has renewed opposition to the federal government. In this context there has been a resurgence in the militia movement and, with it, the FEMA camps conspiracy theory.[22] This time, however, the theory has been able to reach more mainstream right-wing circles while it had previously been confined to the far-right. FOX News personality Glenn Beck, for example, devoted airtime to it on three shows, saying that he could not debunk it (although he later stated that he did not believe the theory).[23] Emails from the magazine National Review have also promoted the theory.[24] Sitting Congresswoman Michele Bachmann alluded to the theory while in office,[25] as have other Republican Party politicians.[26]

**BREAKING: U.S. Orders Russia to Close Consulates in New York, D.C. and San Francisco

12:52 PM ET
The United States is requiring Russia to close its consulate in San Francisco and two annex buildings in Washington, D.C. and New York City, the State Department said on Thursday, in response to the Kremlin's decision to shrink the U.S. diplomatic mission in Russia.
Last month Moscow ordered the United States to cut its diplomatic and technical staff in Russia by more than half, to 455 people, after Congress overwhelmingly approved new sanctions against Russia.
"We believe this action was unwarranted and detrimental to the overall relationship between our countries," State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement on Thursday."In the spirit of parity invoked by the Russians, we are requiring the Russian Government to close its Consulate General in San Francisco, a chancery annex in Washington, D.C., and a consular annex in New York City," Nauert said. "These closures will need to be accomplished by September 2."

Someone, anyone...

Why does Joe Scarborough always call Trump a NY Democrat? There is nothing liberal or democratic about him.

Ann Coulter: Blame The Gays, Not Climate Change For Hurricane Harvey. Yep.

By James Michael Nichols

It wouldn’t be a devastating storm without someone trying to blame the gays!

Yes, everyone, Ann Coulter is back at it. This time the right-wing media pundit is using Twitter to insinuate that “Houston electing a lesbian mayor” is a more likely explanation for Hurricane Harvey than climate change.

Yep, you read that right.

The mayor in question is Houston’s Annise Parker, one of the first openly gay mayors of a major U.S. city.

Coulter is no stranger to making anti-gay claims. She’s previously said that “gay marriage is not a civil right” and stated that sexually active gay men should “feel guilty about it.” This is all the while trying to appeal to a subset of conservative gay, white men.

Thanks ever so much for helping the victims of Harvey know where to place their blame, Ann!

Trumps administration is considering reducing visas for U.S. cultural and work exchange programs,

(Reuters) - President Donald Trump’s administration is
considering reducing visas for U.S. cultural and work exchange programs, including au pairs and summer workers, the Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday.

Trump, a former New York real estate magnate who has relied on seasonal workers at his hotels and resorts, campaigned on promises to restore American jobs.

The Wall Street Journal said the U.S. government was eyeing “major reductions” for five of the employment-based cultural exchange visas in the J-1 visa program, citing unnamed sources.

The J-1 program also includes visas for university students, but the WSJ said those were not under examination for cuts.

A U.S. State Department fact sheet says the J-1 visa program has 15 categories that provide “opportunities for around 300,000 foreign visitors per year to experience U.S. society and culture.”

The State Department said it did not have an immediate comment on the report on Sunday evening.

Trump Divorces the GOP Congress

Trump Divorces the GOP Congress

Republicans need to think of Trump as a political independent.

By The Editorial Board
Aug. 24, 2017 7:08 p.m. ET

A biographer says Donald Trump once told him that he informed second wife Marla Maples he was seeking a divorce by leaking it to the New York Post. President Trump now seems to be using Twitter to tell Republicans in Congress that he’s divorcing them, or at least seeking a trial separation, and for its own self-preservation the GOP Congress is going to have to find different living arrangements.
