What is the Republican plan to pay for the Iraq (Bush's) War, and its on-going costs?

Republicans have never addressed that "problem", as far as I know.

Republicans expected a short 6-week war in Iraq, then sell Iraq's oil to pay for the US costs of war & occupation.
When that didn't happen, they shoveled out bundles of US dollars to Iraqis, Americans, and anyone who was around at the time with hands out.

The costs continue to this day, and into the long-range future, both in Iraq and here at home, and wounded and traumatized need care for the balance of their lives.

And Republicans have the temerity to point a finger at Democrats?
I don't even want to hear it.

RE stroke: be aware that there are two types of stroke: the blockage kind and the hemorrhagic

type. Blockage strokes are more common, but hemorrhagic (blood leaking from vessel or artery in the brain) is harder to deal with as it is happening, and you would not want to be taking aspirin (a blood thinner) when experiencing a hemorrhagic stroke.

Hugs to you, and I/we understand. I believe I'm following behind you in the memory issues;

I'll have them more pronounced than at present, when names and words are my sometimes problems. My mother was memory-impaired at my age, so there's no reason to believe I'll not have the same difficulty in the future.

A post here on DU last week asked "who was the oldest geezer" on DU. I believe I was that one, though I deleted my post, as I said I would, because I believe many of the younger folk, not just on DU but in general, tend to disregard the thoughts and opinions of us seniors.

You have a very full plate - normal home routines, plus physical care of your husband, plus preparing for a move from a home long lived in. A friend of mine, preparing her move from a two-floor townhouse to a smaller condo, advised me, still in my over-large for me one-floor- "Let your kids do it." I'm beginning to think that is good advice and will happen, regardless of my intention to downsize and not have a yard, which I surely don't need.

It's good to hear from you, and I hope you will continue to keep in touch with us on DU, as we've come to know and welcome your thoughtful posts, including the art history, which was always a delight.

In addition to the good words offered here by others, the only thoughts I'll add are to remind you to be kind and loving to yourself and to know that you are loved by your own family and your family here on DU.

On vacation in Hilton Head SC, with spouse & two adult children.

Turned on TV just after first plane hit; they still didn't know if was a small private plane or a larger one, and was it accidentally hit?
Then we saw the second plane hit the second tower and all hell broke loose re speculation.
Reports of other planes ready to attack the US, then the plane down near Shanksville PA, the another hit the Pentagon.

Watching bodies leap or fall through the air to escape the heat and flames.
People waving or even trying to escape out windows to another floor, then slipping and falling to their death.

You all know the rest.
And that terrible evening and night when people posted pictures and notes asking if any one had seen their loved one.

I'll never forget it.

Oh, I get it now.

Obviously, Puerto Ricans, like Mexicans, can vary greatly in ethnic appearance.
Thanks for the enlightenment.

My local CVS has been pushing "FREE flu vaccine" for several weeks now.

I just happened to look over a Medicare report that showed the Kroger store where I got the flu shot last December was paid about $48 for the vaccine by Medicare, plus about $12 to administer the vaccine.

So, obviously, flu shots are a moneymaker for the pharmacies.
