Lord grant me the foresight...

to remember that the toes I step on today may be attached to the ass I have to kiss tomorrow.

I've been having the same trouble

My read post aren't changing color like they used to. Been happening since around last Thursday. I haven't made any changes to my browser settings(Firefox 21.0) or my preferences in DU. If this is a new feature on DU count me in as hating it.

Happy Memorial Day!

Did anyone happen to notice?

IT'S FRIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDAAYYYYYYYY!

And it's a HOLLLLLIIIDDAAAAAAYYYYYY!

I'm going snorkeling tomorrow in Key Largo. Riding the Water Taxi and bar hopping on Sunday. And the obligatory barbecue on Monday!

Who's with me? I'll cook!

Best Ballgame ever...

So I get a text message yesterday at 4 o'clock: "Wanna go to a Marlins game tonight? Won't cost nothin'." "Well, hell yes!" I replied.
A friend of mine finished processing a loan for an MLB Umpire and he offered him the tickets as a thank you.
So we get to the beautiful new Marlins Ballpark (which I helped build) and we go to the will call window. The tickets gave us access to the Diamond Club which meant a free buffet and free booze until 9 o'clock.
So we stuffed our faces and drank like fish. We finally go to find our seats and they are front row behind home plate!
The tickets also included our own waitress and more free booze!
This was hard to take, huh? Attendance was only about 15,000 so it was pretty intimate. It was also my first time back to the park since I was building it and what a welcome back!
The Marlins lost to the Phillies but I didn't care.
What a great night and a great ballpark.

Just wanted to share.

Suppose I hit the Powerball...

I grew up in Las Vegas and Atlantic City and have gambled since the day I turned 21; and one thing I have learned is that when good fortune falls in your lap, it should be shared with those close to you.
I believe it is good Kharma. That being said:

If after I win the Powerball (hey, it could happen) and I was to offer interest free loans only to DUers, how much would you ask for? Remember this is a guaranteed loan, not a gift, with flexible repayment options. How much do you really need to be comfortable.
Only those members that reply to this thread are eligible to receive a loan.

Oh, and anybody that has me on ignore can suck a lemon.
