I live near a dairy farm and an orchard and when the wind changes I get to smell this big pile of cow shit between the two properties. It seems the dairy farmer is upset that the fruit farmer is stealing all his shit to use as fertilizer. They fight a lot, I guess. All I know is that pile of shit sure stinks up the place when the wind shifts.

According to reports from around the country, the Butterball Turkey farm is recalling all turkeys dated after November 12, 2013 because some idiot forgot to butter the balls.

I just went and paid for my New Year's cruise. As I gloated a few weeks ago, I'm taking a seven day cruise to Cozumel, the Cayman Islands, Jamaica(yeah mon), and Labadee island near Haiti. Gonna spend Jan 01 on Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean. And for what is normally a $1,400.00 stateroom, I am paying, or should I say have paid, the criminally low price of, wait for it... $320.00!
Before it was a "maybe" or "can I get my vacation pay" kind of thing, but now it's a lock. I needed a break and this is just what is called for.
And I have the stateroom all to myself so maybe love is in the air. I leave from here in Fort Lauderdale so maybe I'll meet some local hunny bunny who's as crazy as me and we can do the zip line together.
Life is good.

On a whim, a buddy and I road tripped from Fort Lauderdale to Casey Key on the gulf coast. What a great idea. My folks run a small resort on the little key and I woke up this morning to the sounds of crashing waves and salty air. I've always found the Gulf coast to be much more tropical and relaxing than the hustle bustle of Broward County and once again was not disappointed. My only concern was the status of tropical storm and looking at the Weather Channel as I write this I see it is dying out and was heading away from the Florida coast. A great sunrise with a piece of a rainbow on the Western horizon. The Gulf is almost dead calm. Time to grab the fishing pole and try my luck.
