and when faced with reality, stop listening and become completely dismissive. I'm getting to the same place you, quickly and the campaign season is young. I don't know if I can make to the primaries. Just need to get on a plane and say adios amerika. This country really has wasted enough of my time with meaningless and empty political promises. That's candidates also.

Racism will never die
One thing about the DU site, NOT THIS FORUM, that I have realized is that even among liberal and progressives racism is not dead. How can I say this? It's by the many responses I've responded to in 10000+ posts that have made me realize, at 67 years old, racism will never be eradicated in our society, either the overt kind, not the racists in society in general murdering and executing POC and poor or on this DU site. Neither the covert kind, or slyly overt kind. They are those who are sooner rather than later pointed out and deleted. Yet the numbers of so-called progressives and liberals who fit my presented criteria here depress me to no end. The last week all the way back to Trayvon Martin, just as an arbitrary starting point, have made my observation(s) be set in stone for me. I am not mentioning any one in particular but my experience here at DU has been a frustrating reflection of the demographically divided society we reside in.
Please don't misconstrue my comments as a blanket statement, there are some truly wonderful, empathetic and sympathetic people here in this forum especially, but also in the general comment forums who are analytical, critical thinkers of all racial stripes. It's the "wait for the facts" people in the face of obvious murder or execution that I point to. It's the many apologist for cop murder and abuse of unarmed POC, ranging from child to adult, men and women. It's the thug word users in certain cases and the mentally ill word user in others, that are members here, that have confirmed my observations to be true.
White privilege has also been revealed to me on this site. Always subconsciously knew existed just never really was able to attache a specific label to it. This site as given me example after example of that fact of american life and experience.
Thanks again DU for my continuing education and confirmation concerning race and the impossibility of eradicating racism in this society where it is part and parcel of every thread of the american fabric/culture.
we better hope
we'll be 'strong enough', no matter our candidate, to keep another fascist administration of the type we had between 2000-2008 OUT of the WH. That's all I'm going to say about this degradation of party loyalty based on race. I don't like Hillary, as she has enough on her resume to scare me. I like Bernie, yet, he has a blind spot and yes "tin ear" as well as many of his ardent supporters who keep pushing the meme, "jobs will cure racism", "free education will eradicate racism" or even the laughable, they'll lessen racism. These two better get serious about the ugliness that all americans are facing in the arena of race relations and racism. And it AIN'T about any of the BS issues that both side are currently sparring over. It's race stupid!!!!!! And if america doesn't, in the end, give a damn about it and let's a repug racist in the WH, we will get what we vote for.

It is about
what has been done to many others who faced american justice in the last three years, unarmed men, women and children and did not get to have a burger king, they were killed outright. This POS is getting the best of privilege because he is white. That's all there is to it. No poison at all in the words of the one you're responding to. "This is about black people", "you're raping our women"
because he lost a potential girlfriend to someone black allegedly, "you're taking over", gotten from another source of poison, white klan cover/white supremacist cover, CCC, "you have to go"... pure racist white supremacist thinking as he killed nine innocent people.That's the poison here.

of what this animal did, IF the person was captured, I can bet he would not have been fed for many hours, had a bullets proof vest on and be treated civilly or gently by the police as this POS was/is. NO DOUBT in my experience with american justice.....
Given the last three years of watching american justice meted out to UNARMED AA men, women and children, this is white privilege at it's gentlest and finest. He was armed when captured.. But I know, I'm making a mountain out of a molehill......

the old bait and switch. Wouldn't surprise me if that's the motive because of all those legislators in that state and others that are members of that CCC. I think you're on to something there. 
Even if it comes down
bet my bottom dollar it'll be back up in a very prominent and permanent spot, again, soon.
And watch for the outbreak of loyal support for that flag. The anger, if it comes down, will be palpable, as will the expressed hate for POC.
