Scared about what he's going to say. Bad news is something I really can't take today. I've got enough on my plate as it is.

I'm not supposed to follow weather stories. But finding it a little hard not to. It's everywhere.

Thinking of those people in the line of it. Just waiting for the nightmare. And then knowing what many will be facing after....

I feel so much for them. And thinking that this is not the first rodeo....

But it's their home. It's what they know. Just thinking of the pain they are going to go through again hurts. And with me in the SW there's nothing I can do to help.

Trooper doesn't go to his new place till Saturday.
So I have been laying in bed, cuddled up to him and messing around on my phone.
Trying not to think about the 31st.
It's not fair. This is my home, he's my family. Loosing it all because my body has failed me and the government is moving so slow to help me.
Can't afford this now, rent for this place is going up, trying to find a place, everyone is asking so much for first and last months rent.
How will I save enough when I'm going to need every penny to live.

He makes it sound like it's their fault for the hurricane. And how thankful they should be.
Guess he has forgotten that humans don't control the weather and they are a US Territory. Thus part of the US.

Got a place for Trooper, but not me.
My heart is hurting so bad. This was my home.

Well all is now quiet. Bunch of the vets that live around here that I know came to "check on me". In truth they came to check on Trooper, I know the truth.
We all heard the first shot. We all agreed it was on our side of the street. But the second one didn't sound right for a gun.
The second one, turns out to be a transformer across the street. And it somehow cause the restaurant to catch fire.
One of the guys was able to talk with one of the cops and they really can't say much until the arson guy takes a look. The ladder truck was here because they were coming from a run and pulled over because of all the police cars blocking things up.
Ended up being a good thing for the restaurant. Only minor damage because of the truck being here.

We think some idiot shot it.
