SpaceX says it will fly a spacecraft to Mars as soon as 2018

Elon Musk’s SpaceX announced plans Wednesday to land a spacecraft on Mars as soon as 2018, an extraordinarily ambitious plan under an very tight timeline. In a statement NASA said it would help.
