About Me

Nixon was a fucking crook. As a teenager I marched on the UN in 1982 with a million other people demanding we get rid of the threat of nuclear weapons hanging over our heads. Since then I've worked to get Democrats elected like John Aristotle Phillips, known as the A-Bomb Kid when he ran for Congress against Stuart McKinney in CT in the 80's (we lost twice) through the Obama campaign in 2008 and 2012. I want to legalize cannabis, reform our prison for profit system, cut our military budget, get out of Afghanistan and push solar energy panels into every building in the USA.

Closed my eBay store after 9 years and my sales on eBay skyrocketed.

The store was dead.
Not getting any real business anymore.
I closed it and now just list things as a regular account.
eBay gave me a bunch of free listings for some promo recently so I took advantage of them for the hell of it and listed a bunch of stuff.
Sales have gone way up for me on the wacky mix of stuff I sell/collect. Wood boxes, pens, art, glass, mid century collectibles.
I guess the stores are a search ghetto and the main listings are more featured in searches.
25 sales in August and continuing in Sept too.
4 since Monday.
Very pleasantly surprised.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Bernie Sanders is OWNING Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC right now.

She keeps asking about Hillary gossipy questions and Bernie shut her down fast.
Well done Sen. Sanders.

Whoa, Chris Matthews just DESTROYED a GOP talking head who starting talking Benghazi...

The GOP drone was Matt Schlapp with the American Conservative Union
After talking GOP candidates Trump and Kasich he slapped Hillary Clinton and started talking Benghazi.
Chris was like why do you guys still beat this drum?
"We lost an Ambassador..."
Matthews slapped him down with visible rancor.
"We lost NY city under your rule! We lost a war we never should have been in under your, 200,000 people were killed in the Iraq war we don't have investigations, we lost 3000 people on 9/11, we don't have investigations over and over and over again."

That stopped me cold when I heard it in the back ground.
Had to go back and re listen to make sure it was what I heard.

Who told him to say the stuff I yell at the TV all the time?

TLC Network: A spinoff of the Duggar family show is cool, right?

I can see why TLC doesn't want to cancel the Duggar show.
"Morally hypocritical" is a huge demographic in the USA.

‘19 Kids And Counting’ Spinoff May Be Spawned As TLC Wades Through Duggar Mess

As advertisers bail, petitions abound, and the media feasts on the story, odds of TLC being able to bring back its hit series 19 Kids And Counting without Josh Duggar just got a lot slimmer with a new report patriarch Jim Bob Dugger initially may not have told that Arkansas state trooper the whole story as to what Josh had been doing at home. But with such a large cast to work with, and a hit franchise at stake, TLC is mulling the efficacy of plucking popular newlyweds from the now tarnished Duggar family setting, and launching them in a show of their own, sources say.
Meanwhile, further dinging the mothership show’s squeaky clean practically-perfect family image, the 2006 Arkansas police report about their eventual investigation as to what had been going on at the Duggar home includes an interview with one then-underage family member, whose name was redacted, and who reported parents Jim Bob and Michelle “have a rod” they use on their children.

The Arkansas state trooper who was first alerted to the child molestation allegations has contradicted Jim Bob’s account of how he handled the discovery his son had allegedly fondled several underage girls, including some of his sisters. In ’06, Jim Bob told Springdale, Ark. police he had taken Josh to see State Trooper Joseph Hutchens, during which Josh “admitted to Hutchens what had done.” This account was written up in the police report obtained by In Touch, through a Freedom of Information Act filing, before a judge ordered the police report destroyed.

Hutchens now says Jim Bob only told him about one such incident, not multiple incidents as is now being reported. Hutchens says the fact that he only was told about Josh touching one girl one time, through her clothing while she slept, factored into his decision not to report Josh to authorities. Josh Duggar allegedly molested several underage girls when he was 14 and 15 years old, though the claims were not reported to police until Josh was 18.

Maybe TLC will try to save the Duggars show by renaming it "19 Kids and Counting on their Silence."

Not sure why they haven't just cancelled the thing yet.

MAD MEN Finale Predictions? Let's hear them....

3 MAD MEN endings that I could love:
The last vestiges of Don Draper have been shed on the road across country, only Dick Whitman exists now, smiling and happy, at that bus stop in OK where we last saw him.

1. Dick Whitman, international jet setter.
While passing through Palm Springs on his cross country journey Dick bumps into jet set Joy, Viscount Willie and their nomadic crew. They stay in Edward’s room, go skinny dipping again, and she convinces him to forget his past completely and travel the world with her.
They fly away on a Lear Jet.
Dick doesn’t return to America until Sally’s wedding day.

2. Dick Whitman, President, Hilton Hotel Corporation
After hearing about Don’s exit from McCann Conrad Hilton pays private detectives to track him down. He finds Dick on the beach in Santa Monica where Dick confesses the truth of his past to Connie.
Connie offers Dick the moon, he accepts, moves to Bel-Air and ultimately becomes Paris Hilton’s godfather.

3. Whitman Motors: Dick works with hot rods and race cars in CA
It’s literally one of the only set-up scenes in the entire series that has never been paid off.
During his runaway bender, while visiting Anna Draper in California at the end of S2, Don chats with a group of guys customizing hot rods to race in Long Beach. Don claims to be looking for a job, they don’t have one for him, but he clearly admires these guys doing something he, and they, have a real passion for and love.
It was never talked about again.
I actually expect Dick Whitman to wind up living in CA near the beach working with/on cars in some way. This ending would also include him raising his kids after Betty’s death.

Anyone want to talk a little MAD MEN as we approach the end?

The whole show, this season, how you think it's going to end and how you want it to end. Let dish on all of it.
First topic, before I get into Don Draper and his never ending journey for identity, is Peggy.
I love Peggy but I want Stan and Peggy to get together as more than work husband and wife.
but that last sho of her as she walked into McCann was awesome.
If I never saw her again in the series I'd be Okay.
My lesson from last week was that after spending all those years as Don's protege it only took an afternoon with Roger for Peggy to become the coolest person in NYC.

Random thoughts on the last few episodes.
* SC&P is the Best roller rink in New York.
* Harry Crane just sold the Cinzano Vermouth Presents: A Roller Skating & Organ Music Extravaganza starring Joe Namath.
* Why do I know that Jim Hobart is going to wind up one of Ronald Reagan's most trusted advisers?
* The way Jim Hobart says ‘Coca Cola’ makes it seem like there’s still cocaine in the stuff.
* “Every copywriter thinks they're Shakespeare.” Another quote for Sterling’s Gold.
* I’m waiting for the internet to “discover” the lost failed anime style TV pilot of SCOUT’S HONOR. Executive Produced by Daniel J. Siegel.
* Every novelist with a day job is still pissed at Ken Cosgrove for taking that job with Dow when he could be living the dream of every writer in the country on a farm in Maine.
* Was I the only person screaming at the TV for Stan and Peggy to kiss?
* Pete Campbell tells Trudy she’s “ageless.” Because bougie is forever.
* Now everyone’s going to want Chateau Margaux 1953 and they won’t have it in stock at the Von’s anymore.
* Office safety has improved over time at Sterling Cooper. We’ve gone from running over feet with a lawnmower to a stapled finger. Thumbs up OSHA!
* Adios Lou Avery. “Sayonara my friend. Enjoy the rest of your miserable life!” will be my new email signature.
* Next time anyone accuses me of something, I’m going to shout, “The King ordered it!”
I'm going to miss this show.
"But that’s life. One minute you’re on top of the world, the next minute some secretary’s running you over with a lawn mower." - Joan Harris

Indica or Sativa? Or Hybrids? (POLL)

Which type of cannabis do you prefer?
That dank indica like an OG?
That light and buzzy feeling you get from a sativa like a haze?
Or a hybrid bring something from both sides of the plant?

If you see something, shoot it...

...with the video camera on your phone.
Obviously now the citizens literally have to police the police in modern America. Walter Scott and his family are only getting justice because a citizen shot that video. If you see something going down with police using force, then you really should try to capture the event on video. Stay safe doing it. You don't have to reveal your identity with the video, no one knows who shot that video of Scott being murdered. It's the only weapon for truth almost everyone has in their pocket and hand at all times.

This is going to be a long election season if we have to listen to the shit coming out of Rand Paul

's mouth every fucking day into 2016.
This guy can't lose fast enough.
