Katashi_itto's JournalNo It's Not The Onion:Ted Nugent degrades female contestant, dismembers chicken his new reality show
For those of you who arent regular viewers of The Sportsman Channel, video excerpts from Mondays debut of Ted Nugents reality show Wanted: Ted or Alive were finally published online Tuesday evening courtesy of the progressive watchdog group Media Matters.
It turns out the National Rifle Association board member and longtime southern rockers ideas for televised entertainment are just about as strange as you might have imagined.
The rules of the show appear to be an odd mix of Survivor and Fear Factor, with a little bit of Animal Planet thrown in for good measure. At one point Ted actually chases contestants around a field in some sort of modified golf cart, shooting them repeatedly at close range with a paintball gun as he brags about all his expert warrior training with every federal agency he could list.
When a female contestant won what appeared to be an American flag relay race of some kind, Nugent remarked: Shes a humper! and The she-beast beat the he-beast. How cool is that? He followed those classy lines up with, Nice work, wild thing. Nice humpage, and insulted a male contestant who placed second behind wang dang sweet fucking thang.
It got even weirder when he forced everyone to watch him smash a live chickens head on a rock and slice it open on camera. Its almost like being a mother and refusing to change your childs diapers because it stinks, he said. This is so good. This is so good for you
I want you to see the beauty of this.
Nugent apparently signed with The Sportsman Channel after his show Ted Nugents Gun Country was canceled and The Discovery Channel said they refused to work with him anymore.
---Watching, I was sort of stuck that all they need was explosive collars on the neck of the contestants and they'd might have a real winner here....----

Hi all trying to organize a MMOG Topic, would like to ask for your support please
Nothing fancy just a Topic for MMOGs
I think it might offer an opportunity for everyone interested
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018322558
Thanks for any help!
Question: Could we have a MMOG Topic formed?
I happen to do MMOGs and wondered if we might ask, or how do we ask for a new topic to be included.
I do mainly EvE online, myself.
But the MMOG Topic would be for all MMOGs.
Thanks!

National Weather Service faces sequestration, furloughs and reduced reporting capabilities
As someone who lives in New Orleans if sequester (and it's coming brothers and sisters) lasts till Hurrican season, it will certainly make life interesting.
Not to mention everyone else that lives in extreme weather zones.
You know what would be a really great idea? If we just slowed down on that whole "warning people that severe weather might be coming their way" bit. What could go wrong?
An 8.2 percent across-the-board cut in spending, from the so-called sequester, will trim already financially-depleted programs critical for maintaining and improving the NWS weather capabilities. [ ]
Sequestration will also reduce the number of flight hours for NOAA aircraft, which serve important missions such as hurricane reconnaissance and coastal surveying, said a DOC spokesperson. NOAA will also need to curtail maintenance and operations of weather systems such as NEXRAD (the national radar network) and the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (used by local weather forecast offices to process and monitor weather data), which could lead to longer service outages or reduced data availability for forecasters.
About 4,000 NOAA employees and contractors will face furlough. While the cuts are likely to reduce weather data available to local forecasters, the good news is that all rich people have their own weather satellites and forecasting teams so they won't be affected.
Remember: We're doing all this so Republicans can keep an ideological promise to never raise any (well-off) person's taxes, ever, no matter what, but we also have to cut the deficit right now because holy crap, the moment Barack Obama was elected they remembered there was something called a deficit. That's the only reason. It'd take all of five minutes to write up a bill repealing the whole thing, but they won't because it would make them look bad.

Call for the Impeachment of Justice Antonin Scalia for violating the oath of the office.
Justice Scalia stated that the continuation of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act represented the "perpetuation of racial entitlement," saying that lawmakers had only voted to renew the act in 2006 because there wasn't anything to be gained politically from voting against it. The oath of office requires that I he remain impartial and protect all persons rights equally under the law. His statement indicates he not only is not impartial, but also is trying to circumvent the constitution. The legislature put in place laws to protect right to vote for all Americans. His statements are political in nature and indicates that it is his duty to circumvent the actions of the two other branches of government.

Goldfrapp "Happiness"
The young man's stamina and cheerfulness are remarkable. Has anyone tried to do that for 30 seconds?
It was done utilizing one camera and one continuous shot, with no pauses or photographic cutaways. This made it necessary for Goldfrapp and Gregory (The duet that make up Goldfrapp) to change costumes while getting into position in time for the camera to arrive and shoot their next characters.
