Katashi_itto's JournalVideo -Adorable Young Japanese Girl practicing Sword -Iaido
GOOD NEWS Video
Iaido teaches discipline and focus. Iaido (居合道, Iaidō or just Iai 居合?) is a modern Japanese martial art associated with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard or saya, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard.[citation needed] While new students of iaido[1] may start learning with a wooden sword (bokken) depending on the teaching style of a particular instructor, many of those who study iaido use a blunt edged sword (iaitō . Few, more experienced, iaido practitioners use a sharp edged sword (shinken).
Alien Planet "Full Documentary"
A "what if" documentary. Alien Planet is a 94-minute docufiction, originally airing on the Discovery Channel, about two internationally built robot probes searching for alien life on the fictional planet Darwin IV. It was based on the book Expedition, by sci-fi/fantasy artist and writer Wayne Douglas Barlowe, who was also executive producer on the special. It premiered on May 14, 2005.
The show uses computer-generated imagery, which is interspersed with interviews from such notables as Stephen Hawking, George Lucas, Michio Kaku and Jack Horner. The show was filmed in Iceland and Mono Lake in California.
The CGI or computer animated drama/documentary takes place on Darwin IV, a planet 6.5 light years from earth, with 2 suns and 60% of Earth's gravity. Having identified Darwin as a world that could support life, Earth sends a pilot mission consisting of the Mothership Von Braun and three probes: Balboa, Da Vinci, and Newton. This robotic fleet is responsible for finding and assessing any life forms on Darwin IV.
Initially, the expectation is to find microscopic life, but the probes soon find themselves in the middle of a developed ecosystem teeming with diversity of life of all sizes. The drama on Darwin IV is motivated by real science missions, such as the NASA Origins Program and the NASA / JPL Planet-Finder Mission, as well as the European Space Agency's Darwin Project.
JAPANESE KIDS VS ZOMBIE PRANK (ENG SUBS)
*****PLEASE TURN ON ANNOTATIONS*****
Three adroable Japanese kids are forced to attack a "Zombie". This video was shown at many schools within Japan, to teach children about the importance of teamwork... (with english subtitles) Sorry about the quality..
This video was caputred 4 years ago -- Rin (now 14), Tora (12) and Tomonojo (10) are all perfectly fine and seemingly have no negative psycological affects from this happening. The children were rewarded for their efforts and clearly informed about the suggested importance from this event.
GOP After CPAC Self-Evaluation Check list
We Republicans are:
1. Way too nice.
2. Women want me so badly, my sexiness is a burden. (Hence that's why there is no such thing as rape. What woman could resist me? I must tone down my sex appeal)
3. Modest to a fault. (See Paul Ryan, he's our model, and he's way to modest)
4. Sometimes overwhelmed by my own genius. (See Paul Ryan again)
5. Haven't done a good enough job communicating my brilliance to all the useless little people. (Oh that of course is our Mitt Romeny Model)
I must work harder to overcome these slight personal flaws.
GOP's Spanish-language Twitter Outreach to Hispanics has slight problem, can you spot it?
