A poisonous corrosive man’: Watch this British MP bring the hammer down on Trump’s ‘violent ideology

British Member of Parliament Tulip Siddiq urged her colleagues on Monday to support a ban on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, arguing that he would put Britons at risk by importing “violent ideology.”

The British Parliament on Monday debated banning Trump over his anti-Muslim rhetoric after more than 570,000 Britons signed a petition calling for him to be barred from entering the U.K.

Although MPs who spoke all agreed that Trump’s vitriol against immigrants had been out of bounds, most argued that banning him was not the best way to deal with the issue.

Siddiq, however, insisted that Trump would be endangering British Muslims if he was allowed into the country.

Hillary’s health and our right to know

We the people feel entitled to a president of the United States who is in good enough health so that he or she can endure the pressures of the job without suffering a heart attack, stroke or sudden death.

Of course, any good physician will tell you that she can’t be entirely sure of health risks, and our presidential candidates shouldn’t be gauged entirely by physical criteria alone. Still, full health disclosure must be a prerequisite for running for the highest office in the land.

This was why the disparity between the political parties was glaring when it came to disclosing health history back in 2008. I traveled to Phoenix and joined other members of the news media poring through thousands of pages of Sen. John McCain’s health records. At the same time, Sen. Barack Obama was releasing only a single page of health affirmation from his personal physician. True, Mr. McCain had a history of a melanoma requiring extensive facial surgery for a cure, but Mr. Obama was a longtime smoker.

I am expecting more of the same kind of disparity in the 2016 election. Full disclosure has never been a strong suit of newly announced candidate Hillary Clinton. From Benghazi to the email scandal to reported money-making schemes rocking the Clinton Foundation, secrecy has been the operative term rather than transparency. I can easily imagine deleted emails that referred to the heart valve or heart arrhythmia problem mentioned in Ed Klein’s 2014 book, “Blood Feud.”

Hillary is dealing with mounting health issues, new book claims

Hillary Clinton faces “mounting health issues” — and she’s secretly worried that she’s too sick to run for president, according to a new book.

The 67-year-old Democratic front-runner has been “frequently plagued” by “blinding headaches” and a series of strokes over the course of the campaign which have left her second-guessing her chances of winning in 2016, says the upcoming book “Unlikeable — The Problem with Hillary.”

Excerpts were published Tuesday by Radar Online.

“For the first time I’ve known her, she’s showing self-doubt about her strength and vitality,” a friend of Clinton’s told author Edward Klein, who has written about the Obamas and Kennedys in the past.

Conservative commentator: GOP voters just want a dominant personality — facts don’t matter

Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt said Friday that facts didn’t matter to Republicans — they would vote for the candidate with the most dominant “aura.”

Speaking to CNN host Alisyn Camerota about the latest GOP presidential debate, Hewitt remarked that Trump was leading the field among his Republican rivals because of his personality.

“Fact-checking doesn’t matter in these things,” he explained in a clip published by Media Matters. “What matters is personality and aura and your command presence and of all those two, the best command presence last night was Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. And I keep marveling at how Donald Trump can dominate a television screen. He reaches through the screen sometimes and you know you’re back on Celebrity Apprentice.”

“It’s an amazing skill set,” Hewitt continued. “And so whether or not [Trump said he would impose a 45 percent tariff] or not, or whether or not Chris Christie said, ‘I like Alisyn Sotomayor,’ I would vote for her, or whether or not Ted Cruz said this or that on H1B visas, none of that stuff matters when you go to vote.”

HILLARY CLINTON PROMISES TO INVESTIGATE UFOS

(Looks like she has the UFOer vote locked up)

CONWAY — Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton gave UFO enthusiasts a reason to cheer at the close of her recent editorial board meeting with The Conway Daily Sun.

IMG 0264Right: Reporter Daymond Steer asks Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton for her stance on UFOs when she visited the Sun on Tuesday. (MARGARET McKENZIE PHOTO)During the meeting, the former first lady, former senator from New York and secretary of state answered serious questions about foreign policy and the economy, and at the end, she chatted with this reporter, who had asked her about UFOs the last time she visited. She recalled that 2007 exchange with a smile and seemed to have fun discussing the topic.

“Yes, I’m going to get to the bottom of it,” said Clinton with enthusiasm.

Back in 2007, Clinton had said that the No. 1 topic of freedom-of-information requests that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, received at his library was UFOs.

Last year, Bill Clinton told late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel that he wouldn’t be surprised if Earth is visited by aliens since so many planets out there may support life.

Mike Huckabee: Poor Americans will be better off if we treat them like we ‘train dogs’

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee argued on Thursday that the “common sense” way to improve the economy was to treat taxpayers the with same techniques used to “train dogs.”

Speaking at the Republican presidential debate on the Fox Business channel, Huckabee argued that Americans were having trouble getting ahead because “the tax system punishes them.”

“If you work really hard and you start moving up the economic ladder, you get bumped into a different tax bracket so the government thinks it deserves more of your hard work than you do,” he explained. “It’s time for something big.”

According to the former Arkansas governor, Americans would be better off with a national flat sales tax of 10 percent, which he refers to as the “Fair Tax” plan.

‘Despondent’ Republicans watch in horror as voters continue to back Trump and Cruz

With two weeks to go until the first contest of the 2016 presidential race, Republicans who fear their party has been hijacked by the likes of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz found little to comfort them in the latest debate.

Both candidates, one a billionaire developer with no political experience and the other a U.S. Senator from Texas with a reputation for clashing with his Washington D.C. colleagues, stood center stage Thursday night and, for the most part, dominated the proceedings.

More mainstream hopefuls such as former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Ohio Governor John Kasich, and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio from Florida were left nipping at their heels and squabbling among themselves.

Trump, 69, and Cruz, 45, whom opinion polls have locked in a tight struggle to win the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses, clashed at several points, befitting their leading-men status. The left little room for rivals trying to hurriedly close the gap before voting begins for real to choose the party’s nominee for November’s general election.
