Here's some logic:
If employees expend energy and tax their physical systems why shouldn't the employer pay for health insurance to keep the body in "working order" just like they pay for repairs of their trucks and motor fleet.
Health care is getting more expensive - There is the problem!
We need to look at what is making health care and health insurance so expensive and get the numbers back in line.
This is just another example of the greed of the hospitals, insurance companies and the cost of malpractice insurance for physicians.
Note:If the workers salaries have been level for the past 35 years why can't corporations have used the savings to put toward health insurance?

This is the thing that bugs me about the Repubs. they listen to what a Dem says and then just picks out the specific things they can dump on.
The main part of her testimony was about a friend who had cystitis and couldn't get the pills because they cost so much. But Rush just focused on the birth control/sex link because it would be distasteful to the conservatives.
Two examples:
They took a talk from Pres. Obama and cut off the beginning where he stated that McCain made a statement and made it sound like it was the president who was saying it.
Last week Fox propaganda showed a soldier chewing out Bloton for's something and Bloton's reply. The audience actually booed Bolton's reply but Fox edited in clapping from another part of the program.
This lying really pisses me off. They really need to be fined or be made to present true information or be taken off the air. then you wonder why people are so confused about our political system!

They want to be "conservative"
(follow rules - self deprived)
They don't want anyone else to do what they forbid.
(death to infidels) (no freedom of choice)
Belief in a religious reality
(they act on the writings of the bible (and then a miracle occured)
and then they laugh at astrology - what's the difference?)
They can't be happy that they are leading a pure life
They need everyone else to live the same life
(misery loves company) and they would hate to see that
someone else is doing what they restrict themselves from
doing (but they're not immediately getting struck by lightening!)
(so they may get away with it!)
Poor tortured souls. They truely live in a hell on earth!

It seems like the Repubs are in a last ditch effort to spew out every
last bit of prejudice rhetoric that they can, as they go down with their
sinking ship!
Let's take the children away from all the single parents!
Let's put divorcees in concentration camps with all the gays!
Let's protect America from all the abnormal people!
Let's steralize all the misfits!
Let's arrest everyone who doesn't go to church on sunday!
Let's euthanize anyone wh isn't Catholic!
We are fighting the Taliban enemy and they are us!
The world can be repopulated by Christian, skinheads named Adolph!
Let's just let the GOP get it all out in the open so they can have their say
before we put the whole party to rest for contracting terminal stupidity.
Where do we draw the line?
Why do people still vote for these nuts?
Sorry that this is so mean and stirs up bad emotions but this is what they are saying...
Either you do what we want you to do or we'll pass laws that make your life miserable
because, well, we just don't like people who are different from us!
KMA!
Edited for spelling - Oh let's criminalize spelling errors! Yeh, that's the ticket!!

Where else do you have someone who works 60 hours a week and then goes home and continues to improve their skills which is a benefit to the employer?
How many times have you been stuck and had to call your IT resource to get you out of trouble?
With all these computers, what would you do without all the knowledgable IT people?
This is just a continuation of corporations moving responsibility down to lower levels and then reducing salaries as they go.
People used to work 16 hour days so they started labor laws to cut work to 40 hour weeks.
Then they began to classify employees as "exempt" so they were exempt from overtime pay.
Now you can work employees for 60-80 hours a week and not pay them overtime. One step foreward - two steps back. There needs to be a stipulation that a certain amount of overtime for a coutinued period of time qualifies an exempt employee for overtime compensation (and not at the disgression of the manager).
What happened the last time our congress negated laws protecting "We The People"?
Oh yes, we went into a recession because the banks reduced the qualifications for home mortgages!
We need to start to make laws "stick". They were made for a reason.
Now we have to work for years to get ourselves back to a place where we can even hope to
live and retire as well as our parents did.
We're screwed. Let's fight for the next generation at least!!

Prices used to go up a nickle here and a dime there. Now, everytime you see an increase it goes up 20-50%.
Just gas, heating oil and food have taken up everyone's discretionary income.
When they deregulated the power industry in Delaware our bills went up 67%.
Now, there is no money left to rebuild the economy.
Nice going MORONS!

I will use this in many future discussions.
I am so disapointed in how many people lie.
The politicians just say it's politics. I say it's propaganda amd it's dishonest.
We should at least, expect that our government leaders will give us the truth
so we can elect our leaders and make decisions about the future. there seem to be
very few honorable people anymore.
Our society really disapoints me.
Hey, keep up the fight!

Sanitorium said, “To say that people of faith have no role in the public square?
That's not what Kennedy said.
The idea is that you can have all the religion you want and that makes you
feel and think in certain ways and your ideals will make you vote a certain way.
You are allowed to support whatever you like as far as law and policy.
Just don't spew out some verse from the bible or Koran or Holy scripture
in order to support your views.
I don't think we should have a law that says you should bathe in the river because you are unclean.
and
what about the Jews? Do they get to pass laws that say no one can eat pork?
and the Jews don't stand there and try to pass laws based on the old testament.
Therefore: Having Sanitorium propose laws that limit insurance coverage to all
American people is moronic. You provide full insurance coverage to all people
and the one's who don't believe in abortion and birth control will not take advantage
of that part of the coverage.
I know I am preaching to the choir but I have never heard anyone support full
insurance coverage using this argument and I feel the need get it out there
so others may use it if they want to.

Do we have a minister of propaganda assigned yet?
Where is the oversight?
You know how to save money?
We get rid of all the oversight committees because they don't do their jobs anyway!
That ought to save us billions!

First they say that conservative people like rules and regulations.
But I think they have a desire to make a choice every now and then. So, they are tempted. But they would feel guilty.
Then, they see others stepping outside the boundaries and
they want to participate more and more. But, they would feel quilty.
So, they have to stop the others from stepping outside so they don't feel badly and aren't tempted.
Sanitorium has a child with a genetic disorder. Maybe misery loves company and he wants others to be in the same boat.
Not only does he want to stop abortions. I would bet he would force everyone to be Catholic, too.
Just a thought.
Neverless, the bottom line is that he's a pain in the ass.
I don't force others to do all the fun things I do in my life.
I don't expect them to tell me I have to participate in their misery.
