I am highly suspicious of this no labels party

In my local paper the SF Chronicle they had a letter to the editor espousing how great it would
Be to have a no labels candidate. My bs detector went off immediately.

I will always vote Democratic.

Here is the letter:

Break the party system

We are living in a time when our political system is deeply fractured. Both Republicans and Democrats seem more interested in engaging in partisan warfare than in uniting to address the needs of constituents.

Itís no wonder weíre seeing widespread dissatisfaction and mistrust in our democratic institutions. And with over 40% of the electorate now considering themselves independent, thereís never been a greater urgency for a different choice.

No Labels, a nationwide movement composed of Republicans, Democrats and independents, represents such a refreshing alternative. It is building an infrastructure for an independent unity ticket to run in the 2024 presidential elections in response to historically unpopular nominees. No Labels is not positioning itself to be a spoiler; itís offering a way to steer the political system of our nation back to stability and common sense.

Critics who call third-party presidential candidates spoilers are clinging to an outdated perspective that doesnít reflect how broken our system has become. At the core of our democracy is the freedom to choose ó limiting that only continues the partisan dysfunction.

We should embrace what No Labels is presenting. Itís a chance for a more robust democracy, offering solutions that neither Republicans or Democrats seem willing to tackle.

I would bet this same letter is posted in a lot of letters to the editor throughout the country now.
And I bet there is Republican money behind it big time.

Anyone seen this similar letter to the editor?

Last night we watched Victor/Victoria with Julie Andrews, James Garner and Robert Preston

After reading about all the anti LGBTQ laws going on in Florida and other red states I canít help but think this movie would be banned. It was made in1982 and I remember seeing it then and enjoying it. My husband had never seen it and we talked about how this movie couldnít have even been made now. Men dressing as a woman and a woman dressing like a man and a woman pretending to be a gay man who is a drag queen. I read Peter Sellers was supposed to have the Robert Preston role

Blake Edwards was a genius.

I can't tell you how happy I am today that Tucker wont be polluting our airwaves anymore

I was so bummed over the dominion lawsuit outcome so this is like icing on the cake.

No more of that immoral jerk lying and dividing us.

Wow that Rep Justin Pearson is awesome

He has a big future someday.

Also Justin Jones is equally awesome.

By expelling these two the law of unexpected consequences will hurt the repuke party in Tennessee. These young kids out protesting are the future and they see who their enemies really are!

Switched over for a sec to Fox

They are talking about Robert f Kennedy Jr, being a threat to President Biden. I had a good laugh. That gravelly voice and pics of him with Steven Bannon, Roger Stone and Michael Flynn will end his presidential run sooner rather than later.

No coverage of Tennessee.

What is the biggest lesson you learned that no one teaches

I came across this writing a few days ago and it has stayed with me.
I agree 100% to what this writer penned.

What is the biggest lesson you learned that no one teaches?

Arguing with a fool proves there are two.

The easiest way to wait for something is to forget it exists.

Leave, when a promise turns into a sorry.

The worst type of loneliness is the loneliness you feel when you are with people.

There are no rules of attraction when it comes to meeting your match.

You don't need to compromise on your standards, the right person will come to you.

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.

A toxic person only changes their victims, never themselves.

A conversation about how you feel is not supposed to end in an argument.

Someoneís effort is a reflection of their interest in you.

You can be the whole package at the wrong address.

Facts over feelings. Donít let your emotions play with your intelligence.

Did Sarah huckabee call for the overthrow of the Americangovernment tonight

Or if Iím crazee?

President Joe Biden doesn't give a shit anymore tonight,

Today I read to a second grade class about a black boy who experienced being at a bus terminal

In the south that had a whites only and colored only water fountains. The black boy drank the water out of the colored fountain and it tasted terrible. The white boy next to him drank out of the whites only fountain. He started fantasying that the whites fountain water was better tasting. He tricked his grandmother and took the bus a few days later to try to drink from that white fountain. He finally drank from the white fountain and the water was also terrible tasting. At the end he noticed the pipes were connected and the water was the same. As I was reading this I thought The right wingers heads would explode hearing this story and ban the book. More than half the class were white students, 1 Black child, 1 Hispanic and the rest Asian. They really enjoyed the story and I didnít think any of them felt guilty. They were not upset but curious why they had two water fountains. We had a nice discussion. Then I read them a book about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. I took great delight that I educated my students about our countryís history and none of the white children were upset or ashamed but enlightened instead.

That is why the right wing hates discussing history like slavery and segregation. They are the ones feeling guilt not those of us who know that those who donít know history are doomed to repeat the past.
