floriduck's JournalDebbie W-S is destroying whatever is left of the
Democratic Party. Under her astute guidance, we have continued to lose house and senate seats and now we'll likely lose the presidency. What a pathetic example of true leadership.
Will Hillary Clinton Flip on Trade?
Her prior twists and turns result in her lack of credibility when she sort of takes a position.
"Since officially announcing her candidacy in April, Clinton has managed to avoid the wrath of her partys left wing despite Bernie Sanders rocketing rise in the New Hampshire and Iowa polls by opposing the Keystone XL pipeline and aligning herself with Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren on student-loan reform. But reacting to the polarizing TPP deal is one of the most excruciating policy decisions of her campaign thus far and far more politically perilous with Democratic primary voters than her backing of Obamas Iran deal.
Its an unwelcome flashback to 2008 when another liberal free-trade skeptic Obama pointedly vowed to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement rammed through by her husband in the 1990s."
"Perhaps more than on any other issue, Clintons positions on trade illuminate questions that continue to nag at her candidacy: What does she really stand for? Will she go to bat for the party's progressive base? Has she really distanced herself from the shadow of her husband's administration?"

Tweety must have knotted his shorts
Both Heidi Pryzbylla and Michelle Bernard (along with some lady I'm not familiar with) were discussing why Hill isn't getting the millennial vote as much as the seniors. Heidi referred to Hill's supporters as "the shoulder pad group". How funny! She was referencing the time when women wore tops with shoulder pads.
Then Tweety had to put his two worthless cents in on how good Hill is. The ladies weren't buying what he was selling. I love it when Tweety gets put in his place by intelligent analysis.
Bern the hell on!
Just read that former
Bill Clinton aide, Sandy Berger died. I hadn't seen any Hillxxx post this so I wanted to share it. Sorry to hear this news.
Where do the Teamsters stand?
As I was backing out of a pet food store parking stall today, I was pleased to see a bumper sticker that read, "Teamsters for Bernie Sanders". I hadn't heard where the national party landed, endorsement-wise. But at least some local union members are Feelin' the Bern.
Be prepared for the next
Democratic debate. Hill will invoke the USS Cole attack to support her coziness with Wall Street. That and 61% of her donations come from women. Bill must be so proud of her.
By the time the primaries get here, she'll be using the Korean War as further support.
I've noticed that
most, if not all, of threads written by and for Hill's folks have a brief disclaimer or warning that adds (Hillary Group). They want the privilege of not being invaded by their Berners. That is not the surprising part. What is really surprising is that most of the posts have only one or two responses, usually by the same respondent. It appears to be more important that they troll the Bernie Sanders post in the Primary category.
I didn't conduct any scientific survey. It was only a notable observation.
Bern, baby, Bern!
It seems very odd and surprising that
the Hillary supporters are so intent on mischaracterizing Bernie Sanders' words and actions. Remember, these are the people who have the polls on their side and, at this time, the AA vote. It's like a higher ranking candidate hitting downward, which is considered by politicians to be a mistake.
Class and integrity are earned. They are no more an entitlement than what Hillary views the GE candidacy. But the arrogance and ignorance of some of her supporters denigrates what the presidency should be.
Hillary's votes and positions are further right than President Obama's. That is verifiable. Yet the Third Way, New Democrat mentality is to support Corporatists and further globalization. Letting Hillary slide into Bernie's positions on the issues does not, by any means, make them equals.
Bernie is and has been fighting for the same people that support Hillary. But Hillary, knowing she needed to get off centrist ground, moved left, JUST FOR THE POLLS SAKE. Yet her supporters seem incapable of connecting the dots. And they will be the ones who complain the loudest when she moves back to center-right. It is a very sad state of affairs for her defenders.
MSNBC is doing a Hillary Clinton
Infomercial, led by tweety himself. It is so blatant, it is sickening.
I haven't found the actual poll yet but the latest NBC SurveyMonkey
National poll of likely Democratic voters had Hillary at 50% and Bernie at 30%. There goes that supposed 41% lead Hillary had. If anyone gets the data, please add to this thread. Thanks.
