Has anyone noticed Epstein's close resemblance to Scott Bakula?

It is positively eerie.

Jeffery Epstein

Scott Bakula

Twin sons of different mothers.

Enough with the fireworks bashing.

It is really tiresome. Every time the seasons occurs we get this. Yes, I understand your animals do not like them. Yes, I understand that some people do not like them.

Big fireworks shows only happens a few times year for public events. Not counting private shows at ballparks and the like. Most people enjoy them.

If people are shooting them off where it is illegal, call 911. If people are shooting them off where it is legal, there is nothing you can do but bear it.

Guns of course are a completely different thing.

As for America's love affair with blowing stuff up, that is absolutely true. One of the reasons Mythbusters was so popular was the fact they fed into America's love affair with explosions. And yes I love fireworks and explosions. I still have found memories from shooting them off as a kid. Never hurt myself or anyone else.

It will soon be over until the next time.

I am 62 years old.

I am old enough to remember the massive controversy over busing in the 1960s / 1970s. What struck me then and now, was the amount of opposition to busing in the Northeast from whites. In areas that were solidly Democratic. The actions of many whites was simply awful.

Although I like Biden, I think Harris was right in going after Biden. The fact she was able to personalize the issue made it that much stronger.

I would love to see a Warren / Harris or vice versa ticket.

And no, Harris was NOT angry.

Tim Wise.

Anyone ever been to one if his speaking events? How was it?

Would you have a problem with human cloning?

If yes, why?

If no, why?

As for me, I would not. Are we NOT the party of reproductive freedom?

I am posting this because of this LBN piece. And I am fine with this, too. The guy is dead.

Science fiction has long discussed the idea. The invention of a Uterine Replicator would make it possible.

Beyond Meat / Impossible Foods

Anyone tried one of their burgers? I am a definite carnivore, but I would like to give them a try.

A son gives the ultimate Mother's Day gift: A life-saving organ transplant (Video)

What a wonderful story.

"Gwen Finlayson had been sick for nearly three decades, living a full life before she finally needed a liver transplant. Her son Brandon knew he wanted to help the woman who had given him so much, giving her the life-saving gift just in time for Motherís Day."

Looks like Electric Sheep are becoming real.

Why robotic pets may be the next big thing in dementia care.

Someone enlighten me on campaign contributions.

How much can an individual donate before / after the primaries to an individual candidate?

To the Local / State / National Party?

If my candidate does not win the nomination, does that affect my contribution to the candidate who does?

A New Robert A. Heinlein Book to be Published.

Phoenix Pick recently announced that, working with the Heinlein Prize Trust, they have been able to reconstruct the complete text of an unpublished novel written by Robert A. Heinlein.

Heinlein wrote this as an alternate text for THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST. This text of approximately 185,000 words largely mirrors the first third of the published text, but then deviates completely with an entirely different story-line and ending.

The alternate text, especially the ending, is much more in line with traditional Heinlein books, and moves away from many of the controversial aspects of the published THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST.

There has been speculation over the years about a possible alternate text, and the reason it was written, particularly since one book is not just a redo of the other ─ these are two completely different books.

Really looking forward to this. Beast started out great, but then went sideways. I was enthralled with it when it first came out. But then realized it was pretty bad, though it did set things up for the last few books he wrote after Friday.
