Republican Pledge of Allegiance, to Corruption

Somewhere, there must be a Skull & Crossbones type GOP pledge - that goes something like this;

We, the despotic, pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the Almighty dollar $$$ - and to no replublic or democracy, which may never stand - between us fat cats and our get rich quick, NWO, scheming ways.

There can be no nation, Constitution, or any laws, known or unknown, which may stand, in our way, to ownership of our own private island.

We solemnly swear to always be engaging in tyranny, oppression, cronyism, corruption and cover-ups, till the death of any whistleblower whose truths & revelations may impart.

Our faith in any g0d justifies our "right makes might" white male dominate world.

While we are above the law for any sexually deviance, and always allowed to be bi, gay, or abort away - such will never infringe upon our oligarch g0d given right to make our constituency be oppressed and depressed - while we deprive the earth and its people of quiet enjoyment, and obliterate any assurred future; which would infringe upon our oligarch white male right to kill, incarcerate and police state in all ways.

May the future of our superior race, have many more Reagan's, Bushes and Trump's who will lie, cheat, steal and betray to assure our inalienable rights to quash any nay say

Selah, Amen, MAGA, Sig Heil

Michelle Obama on 2016 election: 'What is going on in our heads where we let that happen?'

Source: The HILL

Michelle Obama said Saturday that she is still reflecting on the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, asking how "we let that happen."

The former first lady appeared as the keynote speaker at the United State of Women Summit in Los Angeles, where she spoke about how to reflect on standards for women following Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's failed presidential bid.

"In light of this last election, I'm concerned about us as women and how we think," she said at the event. "What is going on in our heads where we let that happen, you know?"

In the 2016 election, 54 percent of women voted for Clinton, though that figure was sharply divided by race.

Swiss prosecutors discussing Novartis payment to Cohen

Source: The HILL

Swiss prosecutors are reportedly looking into payments made by Switzerland-based drug manufacturer Novartis to President Trump's longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Bloomberg News reported Monday that Switzerland's attorney general has been in contact with local prosecutors about the payments, but that no criminal proceedings have been opened.

Novartis admitted last week that it had paid Cohen $1.2 million for a one-year contract after he promised the company access to the president and insights on Trump's thinking on health care policy.

After the payment was made public, the company called it a "mistake." The company said it only met with Cohen once because it determined he would not be able to provide the expected insight.

New Yorker cover shows Trump playing golf in 'the swamp'

Source: The HILL referencing NewYorker

The New Yorker magazine took a jab at President Trump with its new cover depicting the president playing golf in a swamp.

The issue, which is slated to hit the shelves on May 21, features artwork showing the president wearing golf clothes while taking a swing among a swamp full of snakes and alligators.

The cover refers to Trump's promise to "drain the swamp" in Washington while running for office.

It comes amid a growing scandal Trump faces involving adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who alleges that she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago.

Giuliani says Trump 'denied' AT&T-Time Warner merger after DOJ insisted on independent decision

Source: The HILL

President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani seemed to suggest that the president had a larger role in the Justice Department's decision to block AT&T's proposed merger with Time Warner in a new interview with The Huffington Post on Friday.

In the interview, Giuliani states that Trump "denied the merger," which appears to fly in the face of months of assurances from the DOJ and the White House that Trump had no influence over the decision.

Giuliani made the comments after being asked whether Trump had knowledge that Michael Cohen, his lawyer, had taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from AT&T in the weeks after the election for consulting work on the merger.

"The president had no knowledge of it," the former New York City mayor told HuffPost.

North Carolina mayor defends police after video showing white officer choking black man

Source: The HILL

The mayor of a North Carolina town said Friday that an incident involving a white police officer choking and slamming a black man to the ground was not "racially motivated."

Warsaw, N.C., Mayor A.J. Connors on Friday defended the town's police after a video showing the incident went viral.

"This is not a racially motivated issue," Connors said in a video posted to Facebook on Friday, according to the Washington Post and Raleigh's News & Observer. "This was just a young man who had broken the law and a law enforcement officer arrested him."

He noted that "unfortunately physical contact took place" but asked viewers to put aside preconceptions and "quit calling the police department and making threats."

Oklahoma gov vetoes bill allowing adults to carry guns without a permit

Source: The HILL

Oklahoma's Republican Gov. Mary Fallin on Friday vetoed a bill supported by the National Rifle Association (NRA) that would have allowed state residents to carry a firearm without a permit or training.

"I believe the firearms laws we currently have in place are effective, appropriate and minimal," Fallin said in announcing her veto of Senate Bill 1212, which would have removed the requirement for Oklahoma residents to complete a training course and demonstrate competency with a firearm before carrying in public.

The governor argued that the bill would have taken away the ability of the state's law enforcement personnel to distinguish between someone trained to use a firearm and someone who is not.

"Oklahoma is a state that respects the Second Amendment. As governor, I have signed both concealed-carry and open-carry legislation. I support the right to bear arms and own a pistol, a rifle, and a shotgun," Fallin said in her statement.

Mueller probing donations with foreign connections to Trump inauguration: EXCLUSIVE

Source: ABC News

Special counsel Robert Mueller's team has questioned several witnesses about millions of dollars in donations to President Donald Trump's inauguration committee last year, including questions about donors with connections to Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, sources with direct knowledge told ABC News.

Those interviewed included longtime Trump friend and confidant Thomas Barrack, who oversaw the fundraising effort, as well as individuals familiar with the massive inaugural fund, according to sources with direct knowledge.

Barrack, a real estate investor, has long been described as a Trump “whisperer” whose close friendship with the president landed him a prime appearance during the GOP convention the night Trump accepted his party’s nomination.

The billionaire runs a fund with hundreds of millions in real estate and private equity holdings in the Middle East. Barrack oversaw the largest inaugural fundraising effort in U.S. history, bringing in $107 million – more than double what President Barack Obama raised for his first swearing-in festivities.
