He did not show up at the #G7 session on climate, biodiversity and oceans.

The president was not in the room when reporters were allowed to observe part of the session, and his seat was empty. The heads of government of the other six nations that comprise the G-7 were there.

"The President had scheduled meetings and bilaterals with Germany and India, so a senior member of the Administration attended in his stead," press secretary Grisham.

and get this:

Trump met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel a short time after the climate session and was asked if he had attended.

"I'm going to. In fact, it's going to be our next session. I want clear air and clean water," Trump said.
It was unclear if he heard a reporter who noted the session had just happened.

No words...there simply are no words.

ADDED: His new Press Sec.Stephanie Grisham got caught lying about it. She said
“The President had scheduled meetings and bilaterals with Germany and India, so a senior member of the Administration attended in his stead.”

The fact that Merkel and the guy from India were IN the meeting that he skipped, so he couldn't have been meeting with them, did not seem to register with her.

annnnd he did it again....

Russia's first seaborne nuclear power plant sets sail across Arctic

MURMANSK, Russia (Reuters) - Russia’s first floating nuclear power plant set sail on Friday from the Arctic port of Murmansk to provide power to one of the country’s most remote regions, sparking environmental concerns.

Given the recent news of a still mysterious nuclear accident in North Russia.......

I'm watching American Factory, by the Obama's production company

" a Higher Ground Production" in the opening credits.

Thought some folks would like to note that, hopefully for future films.

You can look up movies by production companies, on IMDB, and by search engine.

Where have all the love bugs gone????

I dunno how many states have lovebugs, but I have not seen many of them around for 2 years now.
They show up in May and in Sept., I usually see them in the yard, and plastered thickly on the grills of cars in the area.

Anyone else notice their absence?

Russian Doctors Say They Weren't Warned Patients Were Nuclear Accident Victims

remember that mysterious nuclear missile explosion of a few days ago????
Looks as if the Russian gov. did not watch the Chernobyl series...

The three injured men arrived at the hospital around 4:30 pm, naked and wrapped in translucent plastic bags. The state of the patients made staff suspect they were dealing with something very serious. But the only information they had at the time was that there had been an explosion at a nearby military site around noon.

“No one — neither hospital directors, nor Health Ministry officials, nor regional officials or the governor — notified staff that the patients were radioactive,” one of the clinic’s surgeons told The Moscow Times by phone this week. “The hospital workers had their suspicions, but nobody told them to protect themselves.”

The hospital was Arkhangelsk Regional Clinical Hospital, a public healthcare center in Russia’s far north, and the day was last Thursday, Aug. 8. After the explosion, radiation spiked to as much as 20 times its normal level for about 30 minutes in the region’s second largest city of Severodvinsk. Russia’s state nuclear agency Rosatom has reported that the accident killed five of its staff members.

Russian authorities are keeping the circumstances surrounding the explosion shrouded in mystery. With government agencies releasing information piecemeal amid a mass of contradictions, the state’s response to the accident echoes its behavior after Chernobyl, the catastrophic 1986 nuclear accident in then-Soviet Ukraine.

"Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared." -

"Terrible things are happening outside... poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart; men, women and children are separated.

Florida Republicans target gun shows to find Trump voters

Either trump's camp is just plain stupid, or they don't care at all about optics..

Actually, the tone of the memo, below, sounds like an 18 year who thinks they have a good idea.

An internal “Trump Victory Team” email circulated Thursday, days after a pair of mass shootings stunned the nation, said the upcoming gun show in South Florida was “a great opportunity to make sure people are up to date on their voter registration and know more about the efforts of the Trump administration to address public safety and second amendments rights.”

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Joe Gruters defended the plan to solicit voters at the gun show.

“We are not going to let some sick deranged individual who committed those terrible acts distract us from efforts to help law abiding citizens participate in the process,” said Gruters, a state senator.

Democrats, he said, “are trying to use this as a wedge to halt any efforts we have.”

The U.S. State Dept official outed as white nationalist, has a wife as horrid as he is:

Gebert's wife, Anna Vuckovic

Her handle is WolfieJames: ( I can't find a recent account, but Gelbart is reported to have dozens of handles, so she might, as well)

this pic looks badly photoshopped.
