Nothing perplexes people quite like the combined topics of women and pornography. Do ladies love porn or hate it? Do they hate it but still watch it? What kind of woman gets into porn? Boston: What no one is talking about....
The finish line of the Boston marathon, at the time of the blasts, was the most secure place on the planet.
Drills, bomb dogs who were in the area minutes before the blasts...., rooftop snipers, and cameras everywhere. Apparently the anti terror apparatus presence at this specific event was very high. All manner of federal and local police.
Since 9-11 we passed the patriot act, passed the NDAA, rolled back Miranda rights, Created the largest bureaucracy the world has ever seen in Homeland Security, allowed domestic drones and many other anti terror bills.

Does Congress have it in for the U.S. Postal Service?
The Postal Service gets no tax dollars, yet is constantly hammered as a money-wasting government agency. Every time it seeks to cut costs, Congress puts up roadblocks.
In February, the Postal Service announced it would end Saturday mail delivery, saving the agency $2 billion annually. But the new stopgap budget passed by Congress prohibits that with language mandating six-day delivery. Whenever the Postal Service tries to close an underperforming facility, lawmakers become apoplectic and try to prevent the closing, forcing the agency to throw good money after bad.
It's mind-boggling how Congress, a withering failure on fiscal matters, routinely castigates the Postal Service for hemorrhaging cash, yet continues to subjugate the agency to its own blundering fiscal whims.
The Postal Service's biggest financial burden, however, is something it couldn't control even if it had real autonomy: the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act. Passed in December 2006, it required the Postal Service to annually pay $5.5 billion to pre-fund retiree health benefits for the next 75 years, and do so all before 2017.
Never has Congress forced any private business or government agency to comply with such an onerous obligation.
Proponents of the measure argued that the Postal Service would become insolvent, leaving taxpayers on the hook for any unfunded liabilities.

Canadian kids vs American kids, pot and guns

A new study conducted by UNICEF on child well-being found that Canadian kids smoke more marijuana than kids from any other developed country.
UNICEF's "Report Card 11" found that Canada ranked first out of 29 countries for the percentage of youths who smoke pot. According to the findings, 28 percent of 11, 13, and 15-year-old Canadians surveyed said they had smoked marijuana at some point in the last year.
Notably, the study found that countries with more liberal drug laws had lower rates of youths who smoked marijuana than nations with stricter penalties. In the Netherlands, where the weed laws vary from city to city, the study found that 17.05 percent of kids smoked last year, and only 10.5 percent smoked in Portugal, where marijuana has been decriminalized.

Speaking as an "Old White Guy"
I am starting to become kind of upset that the term "Old white guys" is being used to describe Republicans and right wingers.
I give up, we lost.....
the past week tells me that there is nothing we can do to stop the country from becoming another casualty of "Austerity". it tells me that whatever the corps want they get and no manner or amount of calls, petitions or whatever is going to change that. we, as a people are done.
We have oil companies in charge of the media. No Fly Zones. Police taping is illegal. No recording anything. except the Gov't recording you that seems to be okay.
Keystone is a done deal. Count on that one.

Not just Obama but Dem senators are on this very same bandwagon.....
I give up, it is not worth fighting anymore. Poeple don't care, tehy are not protesting, they are doing nothing.

GOP Official Apologizes To ‘Colored People’ For Using Racial Slur

Jim Gile, a Republican commissioner in Saline County, Kansas, used an offensive racial slur during an argument with a fellow commissioner, but he wants everyone to know that he isn’t a racist because he’s “built Habitat homes for colored people,” and also that he has a black friend:
In a recording made by County Clerk Don Merriman of the study session, Gile, who is white, can be heard to say the county needed to hire an architect to design the improvements rather than “n[*]gger-rigging it.”
His comment brought laughter from others in the room. Salinan Ray Hruska, who attends most commission meetings and study sessions, asked Gile what he said.
“Afro-Americanized,” Gile replied. . . .
Gile said he grew up around the term, but it is something he shouldn’t have used.
“I am not a prejudiced person,” Gile said Friday. “I have built Habitat homes for colored people.”
Gile said he also has a close friend whom he regards as a sister who is black.

The Vatican, home of the spiritual leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics and famous gay bathhouse landlord, has a new, spicy scandal on its hands: Someone living in the small city-state has been illegally downloading porn.
According to a story in the New York Post, a file-sharing website used an anti-piracy service to examine the Vatican’s download history and found that, in addition to a taste for crime dramas like “Chicago Fire” and “The Americans,” a resident of the Holy See has been illegally downloading porn. http://www.alternet.org/media/someone-vatican-illegally-downloading-porn
