Rick Perry Stops Paying South Carolina Staff

August 10, 2015 Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry's campaign team in South Carolina is no longer being paid by his presidential campaign, National Journal has learned.

"Pay is only one reason people do this," Katon Dawson, Perry's South Carolina state director, said in an interview. "We'll be able to live off the land for a while."

Donald Trump just launched 'World War III' on a top GOP pollster

Donald Trump is all but accusing a top Republican pollster of trying to shake him down.

After the presidential debate last Thursday, Fox News featured a focus group conducted by Frank Luntz that utterly slammed Trump. On Monday, Trump told Business Insider that he believes he was panned by Lutz's group because he declined to hire Luntz's research firm.

"This has been going on, he's putting the arm on me all the time and then he does these polls that are totally in violation of every other poll that was done," Trump said of Luntz.

Trump argued post-debate polls that show he remains ahead of the GOP field prove the focus group was wrong. He further described Luntz, who is a regular contributor to Fox News and one of the country's best-known conservative consultants, as "unfair," and "terrible."

"I watch this guy do a really negative report on me and the only reason he did it, in my opinion, is because I didn't want to hire him commercially," Trump said of Luntz. "I think it's disgusting. ... I think he uses his power at Fox to maybe — to get work."

Family forgets 3-year-old at rest stop and drives 93 miles, don't notice until they hear alert

93 miles is about 1.5 to 2 hours of driving. and they didn't realize toddle was missing all that time

These forgetful French parents left a rest stop with everything but their 3-year-old daughter on a road trip to the French Riviera.

The toddler’s unidentified parents drove 93 miles of open road Sunday before they realized their daughter was missing, police told AFP.

“The family had passed Aix-en-Provence and were going towards Saint-Raphael and none of them had noticed she wasn’t there,” the officer said.

The lost little girl was useless in helping police find her family. <--- kinda judgmental statement

She told police she was going to the beach, had a brother and sister, and saw her daddy’s car pull away.

Authorities broadcast an alert on the radio, hoping to reach the child’s unmindful parents.

The family finally heard the message 45 minutes after their daughter was found. The father called the police at 3 p.m. and quickly turned around to retrieve his daughter.

angry NY police union starts "peek a boo project" in response to proposed "right to know act"

NEW YORK — The city’s police union is asking its officers to take photos of transients who sleep on sidewalks and in parks, panhandlers asking passersby for change, and other “quality of life offenses” in the five boroughs with the intent of publishing those pictures online, according to a memo obtained by PIX11 News.

“As you travel about the City of New York, please utilize your smart phones to photograph the homeless lying in our streets, aggressive panhandlers, people urinating in public or engaging in open-air drug activity, and quality of life offenses of every type,” the memo sent Monday from Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins reads.

“I see New York City deteriorating, Ed Mullins, the president of the Sergeants Benevolent Association told PIX11. “I see quality of life crimes all over the city, homeless all in our streets. A national problem between people of color and the police and all I see are phony politicians introducing phony legislation that accomplishes nothing.”

The initiative was announced in a memo slamming the city’s “inept and spineless public officials who sit amongst the City Council and propose legislation that can only be described as preposterously disingenuous.”

Among that legislation is the Right to Know Act, which would require officers to identify themselves to those they stop and obtain verbal or written consent before searching an individual if no warrant or probable cause exists.

If you thought Donald Trump’s boisterous debate performance and subsequent comments about Fox News’ Megyn Kelly might hurt his standing in the polls, you might be very wrong.

In the first major poll to be released since Thursday night’s debate, NBC News and Survey Monkey found Trump holding onto his first place position with 23% of the hypothetical vote. Jeb Bush and Scott Walker, who were each at 10% in the same survey a week earlier, both dropped three points to 7% each, tied for a disappointing fifth place.

Ted Cruz saw the biggest post-debate bump, up seven points to 13%, putting him second to Trump. Carly Fiorina saw a six point bump to reach 8%, her highest position in any national poll to date.

Ben Carson came in third place with 11% in NBC’s poll, while Marco Rubio was tied for fourth place with Fiorina at 8%. However, a margin of error at 3.4% helps put these shifts in a bit more perspective.

Baby rhino tries to adopt a Jeep after poachers kill mother (people help him, he is safe now)

In the world's saddest rendition of 'Are You My Mother?', a baby rhino in Africa was found rubbing against a Jeep after poachers killed his mother.

After seeing the baby rhino wandering around the road, butting heads with similarly armored cars, tourist Debbie English said her father stepped in to get a veterinarian on the scene.
The vet tranquilized the rhino, who was then transported to Kruger National Park in South Africa. He's now settling into his new home there and has since been dubbed Donnie.

Orphaned baby rhino thinks this jeep is his new mum – all the tears

This is Donnie, he’s a baby rhino and his mum was killed by poachers.

Now an orphan, Donnie is pretty lonely. These heart-breaking images show the rhino siddling up to a jeep that he wants to be his new mum. :^(

Donnie tried to rub his body on the side of the vehicle in the hope his affection would be reciprocated.

But put those tissues away because Donnie did get a happy ending.

His was found at the roadside and taken to Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Debbie English revealed her dad acted the hero to save Donnie’s life, she wrote: ‘This little guy lost his mom and wandered all the way to the tourist road. Then adopted the cars as his mommy…how heart wrenching?’

Although the trip was a little more complicated than first imagined.

‘My father and the veterinarian managed to tranquilize the poor little thing and fly him to his new home… but not without any hiccups along the way. The pilot had to make an emergency landing after this little guy flat-lined.’

Ms English added: ‘After 3 minutes of resuscitation and trying everything to save him… everyone involved was amazed (some with tear filled eyes) when he gasped for air and his little heart started up again.
‘After a rough ride he finally made it to his new home where he probably had a good snooze and is now hopefully settled in.’

Woman Publicly Sodomized in Gas Station Parking Lot by Cops Because they 'Smelled Weed'

Houston, TX — Charnesia Corley was on her way to the store to get medicine for her sick mother last June when she was detained by police for allegedly running a stop sign. Within minutes, this routine traffic stop turned into a waking nightmare.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, the deputy who pulled Corley over asked her to step out of the vehicle after “smelling what he believed to be marijuana.”

However, during a search of Corley’s vehicle, without her consent, no illegal plants were found. But this sadistic cop wasn’t done just yet. He knew deep down that this woman’s story about getting medicine for her mother was a lie, and she must have been smuggling this evil plant inside her body somewhere. The deputy then handcuffed Corley and placed her into the back of his cruiser.

Being a male, the deputy felt that it would be in poor taste to penetrate this woman’s bodily orifices himself, so he called a female deputy over to conduct the public roadside sodomy in a politically correct fashion.

Upon arriving, the female deputy ordered the handcuffed woman out of the car and into the parking lot.

“She tells me to pull my pants down. I said, ‘Ma’am, I don’t have any underwear on.’ She says, ‘Well, that doesn’t matter. Pull your pants down,'” Corley said.

Because Corley didn’t immediately prostrate herself to be vaginally raped by a peace officer’s appendages in search of an illegal plant, the deputy charged her with resisting arrest.

In spite of her verbal protests, Corley was then stripped down in public and forcefully penetrated by this public servant — in the best interests of society, no doubt.

“I bend over and she proceeds to try to force her hand inside of me. I tell her, ‘Ma’am, No. You cannot do this,'” Corley explained.

While Corley was lying on the ground by her car in the parking lot, the deputy told her, “open your legs.” Corley said she responded that she didn’t want to.

“So she says, ‘well if you don’t open them, I’m going to break them,'” Corley said. “All I could do was just lay there. I felt helpless.”

Corley was charged with resisting arrest and possession of marijuana after deputies allegedly found .02 ounces of marijuana..

However, the department also argued that Corley consented to the search, which seemingly contradicts the allegation that she resisted.

Corley’s attorney, Sam Cammack, said a search in a public place like that is a violation of her civil rights.

road rage - who is at fault?

ANKENY, Iowa — A road rage incident turned bloody in Ankeny when a man allegedly punched a woman in the face. That woman, Lisa Teska, ended up in the hospital. It happened Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Magazine Road and State Street. Teska says a man driving an SUV pulled out of the Ankeny High School staff parking lot and nearly sideswiped her vehicle. Teska threw a coin at the man’s SUV, and she says the man threw some coins back at her vehicle. Further down the road, Teska says the man got out of his SUV and attacked her, by punching her in the face.

With blood gushing everywhere, Teska called 911. Teska says the operator told her to lock the doors, roll up the windows and stay in her vehicle until police arrived; but Teska says when police got there, they weren’t much help. Describing what she says Ankeny Police told her at the scene, Teska told Channel 13 News, “they just kept talking about the same thing over and over, that the only way that they would press charges on him is if I agreed to go to jail for throwing the coin at him for criminal mischief.”

Lisa’s husband Derrick told Channel 13 News that Ankeny Police got this one wrong, saying, “the serve and protect just didn`t get done this time. I just feel that justice was not adequate…they said that doesn’t distinguish between a man and a woman, but I believe my wife was defending herself. She had no choice, she had a 14 year-old daughter in the car.” Derrick Teska told Channel 13 News that the man who allegedly assaulted his wife was never even hand-cuffed at the scene, and that greatly upset him.
